The Digital Workplace organization within American Express is responsible for making Amex one of the world's best companies for colleagues to work for via seamless, integrated, and personalized technology experiences for all colleagues with differing needs and roles. The team supports a portfolio of communications, collaboration, and productivity tools on desktop and mobile in American Express's offices around the world, while mobile, and in colleagues' home environments.
The Colleague Tech Enablement team within Digital Workplace (DW) is focused on seamless user experiences that enable colleagues to leverage DW tools with less friction and helps them do their jobs more effectively.
The Digital Product Manager will be responsible for managing the prioritization and delivery of automation initiatives that help remove friction for our colleague servicing journeys. As a member of the team, you will prioritize the engineering team's sprint backlog, participate actively in all phases of the iteration process, and are responsible for product decisions, release planning and leading designers and engineers to further evolve our automation capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the Digital Product Solution Design Manager to translate roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, product stories and acceptance test criteria
- Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog consistent with the outcomes and product roadmap and performs story elaboration with the scrum team
- Articulates what success looks like for a product, and rallies a team to turn that vision into a reality
- Own and deliver on post-launch (for new features) and post-deployment (for new instances) reviews and customer feedback, and drives the associated actions, and incorporates feedback into the future launch and deployment plans
- Contributes to the success of the product launch by designing and developing product training material; Owns and maintains the product documentation
- Provide timely and regular status reporting to management and product collaborators
- Drives the continuous evolution of the product post launch by managing the ongoing product releases and adjusting the backlog prioritization based changing requirements
- Coordinates communications and facilitates resolution of risks, issues, and changes tied to the product backlog
- Oversees and drives the go-to-market and strategic marketing plans for automation products

- 5+ years of experience in Product Management with proven track record in delivering a product vision and strategy
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum/Kanban, iterations, user stories
- Familiarity with agile software development lifecycles, standard tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills
- Proven track record managing large, complex products with multiple partners
- Ability to build relationships across various partners and influence without authority in an ambiguous environment
- Possess a positive attitude and excel in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree or post graduate qualification; Agile certification preferred
- Strong technical understanding of a variety of software languages
- Technical knowledge in AI/ML solutions and understands implications to product vision and strategy
