The Network Delivery team within Network Acquirer Solutions at American Express works to deliver a full scale modernized Network including new digital products such as Debit, QR, Tokenization and Local Network solutions to meet the evolving demands of global payment networks and adapt to local needs while ensuring continued global interoperability. This enables the Enterprise to attract new customers, operate in new markets, react to changing regulatory demands, and process new types of payments. A role in the Network Delivery team will challenge you to broaden your skillset and industry acumen in a collaborative, diverse and inclusive team environment.
We are seeking a team player who is driven, strategic, innovative, ambitious, and can manage multiple initiatives and conflicting priorities with accuracy, flexibility, confidentiality, and attention to detail!
The Program Manager will report directly to the VP, Network Capability Delivery (part of the Network & Acquirer Solutions organization) and will be an integral part of the NCD team, managing strategic and ad-hoc items including communications, reporting, and special projects. The Senior Program Manager is also a crucial member of the leadership team providing analytical, strategic, and operational support for our global colleagues.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintain a clear understanding of all work happening across the team and prioritize VP attention on these initiatives.
- Act as a central point of contact for urgent business issues and initiatives managed by the VP and address information requests; coordinate and prioritize for the VP office.
- Aid with critical business partnerships and communication to ensure clear priorities and shared goals.
- Draft impactful and comprehensive communications, presentations, and talking points for key business reviews, executive presentations, and discussions.
- Manage business planning and operational processes driven through the VP office (leadership team meetings, cost center management, PMP, etc.).
- Help create and drive team culture by taking a leadership role in colleague engagement programs, planning events such as site visits, guiding reward and recognition process, and creating fun team meetings.
- Partner closely with team and leadership on colleague engagement strategy through analyzing, tracking, reconciling survey results to help ensure themes are addressed.
- Lead employee engagement and organizational management, including team building activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Self-starter: able to provide strategic thought leadership and prioritize with limited guidance.
- Proven ability to navigate effectively and efficiently within American Express, with a strong understanding of Amex businesses, processes, and operations.
- Must be highly organized and self-motivated.
- Demonstrated project management, organization and planning skills applied in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills with strong personal presence.
- Exceptional ability to develop creative and impactful executive documents and presentations, with advanced level MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills.
- Active listening skills, summarization skills, and lateral thinking to uncover and react to emerging opportunities.
- Proactive learner with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and techniques without direction.
- Prior GMNS/Network experience/knowledge a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or combination of education and experience.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + sales incentive + equity (if applicable) + benefits
