Job Summary
The Manager, NNA DEI develops, implements and monitors programs that promote diversity, equity and inclusion within the company. This role is responsible for developing training and initiatives to create and foster an open and inclusive environment within Nissan North America and its affiliate companies. Creates instruments linking DEI awareness to the organization's performance management processes and the business plan. Works with business functions to assess company efforts on DEI programs, establish best practices and identify programs to promote inclusion.
The Manager DEI contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.
Job Functions

- Reviews current practices and policies, assessing and analyzing the extent to which they support or hinder corporate DEI goals. Develops and/or acquires training and development to aid DEI and retention initiatives.
- Provides guidance to management and Human Resources Business Partners in developing objective performance and other employee evaluations and policy updates.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds.
- Lead planning and coordination of key Americas DEI projects, such as Diversity Month, DEI Annual Report, DEI Design Competition and Nissan Ready
- Serve as a liaison for DEI strategic partnerships and lead quarterly touchpoint conversations to maximize engagement and benefits to Nissan.
- Manage DEI benchmarking studies/surveys with industry and best in class organizations to understand current business trends, Manage submission process for benchmarking surveys on behalf of Nissan with best-in-class organizations. Assist in the strategic planning of diversity initiatives and in developing solutions to DEI opportunities. Tasks include identifying relevant studies, managing submissions, creating strategic action plans based on survey feedback and analysis.
- Serve as DEI office program manager on regional business synergy teams (BST) while leading policy compliance and governance efforts.
- Lead DEI data analysis and content delivery-efforts include work with business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement, create reports for internal and/or external use; collaborate with other functional teams to collect and analyze data, identify KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions, structure large data sets to find usable information and create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings incorporating data visualizations.
- Other departmental needs include budget monitoring, supporting internal employees, supervise a team, coordinating Diversity Council meetings, participating in Global DEI meetings and workshops, and invoicing process to ensure effective use of time/efforts.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Position Location:
This position is located at headquarters, Franklin, TN.
Job Knowledge and Skill:
Knowledge of diversity and inclusion initiatives, budget process, program coordination and field communications. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent presentation skills. Ability to lead and work cross functionally, process improvement and workflow management skills.
Experience:
Seven or more years of directly related professional-level experience preferable in in diversity programs, purchasing, HR, Communications or related field; with at least two years in DEI team leadership and/or supervisory capacity.
Supervisory Experience:
Two or more years in a project management or team lead role, providing strategy, vision and direction. Activities of subordinates and contractors varied considerably in objective and content, and encompassed more than one discipline.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required. Completion of a DEI credentialed program preferred.
Computer Skills:
Advanced skills in all Microsoft suite of products. Thorough knowledge of information and web-based systems from a functional perspective. Advanced word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications skills and/or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.

- Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 10-15 pounds occasionally.
Required Travel and External Events:
Occasional travel including international and attendance at local evening/weekend events will be required.
