Realtor.com®, a leading online destination for real estate services. This role will align with the Avail team, the newest addition to the realtor.com® network within the Rentals growth business unit. Avail offers a software platform with a complete set of tools, guidance, and best in class educational content providing landlords with everything they need to be confident and professional.
The Role
The role of Earned Media marketing is to ensure Avail reaches and captures the right audience by creating relevance with our customer. Through our Earned Media channels, we have the ability to reach a high volume of potential customers, drive qualified traffic to our site and ultimately generate unpaid leads. By creating high-quality, timely and relevant content, we can establish Avail as a resource and authority in the independent rental marketplace. This role, reports to the Head of Avail Marketing, leading a team of content specialists, digital marketers, and a community marketer. This individual is responsible for developing and executing content strategies, driving organic traffic to the site, generating unpaid sign-ups, and amplifying the Avail brand voice through our content.
What will you do? Responsibilities
- Own and create the earned media vertical roadmap to success, and the actions to make it happen.
- ​​Support content ideation and planning process by offering feedback and insights into topics that will reach our target audience, drive engagement with existing users and gain coverage in target publications.
- Expand our distribution footprint with owned and earned channels (web, blog, video, social) through testing and experimentation.
- Oversee team execution of organic search engine campaigns including keyword research, data-driven content gap recommendations, and strategic optimization of existing content.
- Guide the team in delivering strategies that improve our SEO footprint, organic search results and overall domain rating and authority.
- Build and update relevant dashboards reporting performance, conduct post-analysis of editorial initiatives and CRO strategies, and share insights with stakeholders to ensure teams are pacing to meet goals.
- Manage training and development for the earned media marketing team.Â
What will you bring? Requirements
- 5 - 7 years content marketing, SEO strategy, digital marketing, and/or social media experience with demonstrated success
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of the buyer cycle and how to influence buyer behavior at the various stages of their journey
- Deep knowledge of SEO strategies, including on-page, off-page and technical SEO best practices
- Knowledge and experience working with SEO tools (such as AHREFS, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console) and Analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
- Understanding of conversion rate optimization, defining CRO goals, managing CRO test plans, and monitoring core web vitals.
- Proven track record developing unique content plans for multiple platforms, including social channels.
- Proficiency managing projects using project management softwares like airtable or Jira
- Experience working with performance analytics to make data-driven decisions
Nice to Haves:
- Expertise in residential real estate investing, property management, and/or landlording
- Knowledge of real estate and/or proptech landscape
- Experience working with website tools such as Wordpress and Prismic
- Proficiency managing projects using project management softwares like airtable or Jira
