THE ROLE

The Manager, Education - Consultant Program manages, mentors, and develops a team of Analysts, Consultants, and Senior Consultants while embodying Nordic maxims and values. Manager, Education - Consultant Program is responsible for leading communication, organizational direction, and management efforts to team leads, and providing experience and knowledge in overall management and staffing solutions that contributes to Implementation Services' organizational development and growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager, Education - Consultant Program will have the following responsibilities which include but are not limited to:

LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT

  • Design, build, and foster the Implementation Services (IS) analyst program to develop strong team members in training and project management, contributing to the vision for Implementation Services
  • Work with Sales and Delivery team to interview and identify team members and monitor team's output

  • Coach and mentor team, resolve conflicts, maintain positive team morale, and deliver direct and timely feedback based upon project work and performance
  • Assign project work across team members, track progress, and adjust assignments as needed to meet deadlines and maintain project momentum
  • Hold team accountable for adherence to Nordic standards of quality, clarity, professionalism, and consistency
  • Provide leadership by aligning priorities and work efforts of team members to produce efficient and quality outcomes for their respective clients while maintaining the best interests of Nordic
  • Develop the training, instructional design, management, and leadership skills of team members through coaching and one-on-one sessions to review personal and team performance

  • Provide feedback to team members regarding work performance or other work-related issues
  • Overall responsibility for staffing management and strategies for assigned teams, included but not limited to proposal development, team composition, and cross coverage models
  • Provide expertise and knowledge in customer management, team development, and professional growth as it relates to team performance
  • Managing the teams' output against operational objectives including SLAs, utilization, and profitability
  • Understand team members skillset, growth path, and interests to ensure appropriate career growth and trajectory

  • Work on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested
  • Stay current with latest technology, regulations, and news affecting the healthcare industry

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform classroom and virtual training; current training objectives include new employee orientation and onboarding
  • Partner with education team to develop and maintain training materials and assessments

  • Track and report on team's training status and assessment results

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT

  • Assist Leadership team in designing and executing a knowledge management strategy to maintain high quality, up-to-date, and searchable content for audiences of varying skill level
  • Establish writing guidelines based on knowledge based best practices and develop the team to ensure they are achieving or surpassing expectations
  • Collaborate with other business lines and Knowledge Management teams across Nordic

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience, required
  • Certification in one or more EHR application module(s) with moderate understanding of functionality within that application
  • 5+ years of experience implementing, training, or supporting EHR modules is preferred
  • Direct staff management experience leading service-oriented teams required

  • Ability to apply problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong training and instructional design skills
  • Ability to organize, analyze, and prioritize

  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Experience mentoring and growing teams
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • PowerBI experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize

  • Must be able to work independently, as well as within a team environment
  • Proven ability to work effectively will all levels of an organization, as well as with diverse team members and client bases
  • Basic understanding of Healthcare Terminology and IT competencies a plus
  • Must demonstrate and embody Nordic's maxims

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • Working in Madison, WI, is not required, but strongly preferred. Trips to the Nordic Home Office in Madison, WI will be expected
  • Ability to travel up to 20% if not based in Madison, WI
