About The Role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Marketing Email and Automation Manager to join our dynamic marketing operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in driving our email marketing strategy and implementing automated workflows to enhance our customer's experience. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, execute, and optimize email marketing campaigns and automation processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in email marketing, possess advanced skills in automation platforms such as Hubspot or Marketo, and demonstrate technical expertise in working with fields, synchronization, automated triggers, and data processes within marketing automation.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create compelling email content that aligns with our overall marketing initiatives and brand guidelines. Your expertise in marketing automation platforms, such as Hubspot or Marketo, will be instrumental as you leverage data, automated journeys and triggers, and data pushes to build engaging customer journeys. You will actively contribute to the technical aspects of the role, utilizing your skills to customize email templates, troubleshoot issues, and manage data integration effectively. Overall, this role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and shape our email marketing and automation initiatives, allowing you to make a tangible impact on our customers' experiences and contribute to the overall success of our marketing efforts.

**THIS POSITION is onsite 3 Days a week in Austin, TX

Primary Objectives:

  1. Develop and execute email marketing strategies to drive engagement, conversions, and retention across Auctane products.
  2. Create, manage, and optimize email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, content creation, A/B testing, and performance tracking.
  3. Implement and maintain automated workflows to nurture leads, onboard new customers, and drive personalized communications at various stages of the customer lifecycle.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling email content that aligns with overall marketing initiatives and brand guidelines.
  5. Monitor and analyze key email metrics, such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and deliverability, to identify areas of improvement and optimize campaign performance.
  6. Ensure compliance with email marketing best practices, anti-spam regulations, and data privacy policies.
  7. Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in email marketing and automation to drive innovation and enhance customer experiences.
  8. Work closely with the marketing operations team to manage data integration, synchronization, and data pushes between the automation platform and other systems.
  9. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance related to email marketing and automation platforms.

What We Are Looking For:                                        

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in email marketing and marketing automation, preferably in B2B or SaaS environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in marketing automation platforms, such as Hubspot, Marketo, or equivalent (Pardot, Eloqua, SFMC, etc.). Strong technical skills and ability to work with fields, synchronization, automated triggers, and data processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, personalization, and A/B testing.
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS, specifically as it relates to HTML in email
  • Knowledge of email deliverability best practices: Understanding email deliverability factors, including authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), email reputation management, and ISP regulations; as well as legal requirements around email and personalization (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track, analyze, and interpret email campaign metrics to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems: Proficiency in working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, such as Salesforce in an effort to improve data synchronization, enhanced lead nurturing, and effective customer journey mapping
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to create compelling email content.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What will Make You Stand Out:                                                    

  • Familiarity working within agile environments, Scrum, Jira
  • Experience with advanced segmentation and personalization, e.g. the ability to create dynamic content based on user behavior, implement personalized recommendations, and leverage customer data to deliver highly targeted and relevant emails
  • Advanced understanding of marketing analytics to leverage data to uncover insights and optimize email campaigns will be highly valued. Experience with tools like Google Analytics or similar platforms, as well as proficiency in data analysis and reporting
  • Relevant certifications, such as Hubspot Email Marketing Certification or Marketo Certified Expert
  • Familiarity with ABM tools such as 6Sense, Mutiny
  • Experience within A/B testing, Optimizely
