The challenge

Your main responsibilities will be to provide guidance, support, and recommendations for the resolution of critical and complex employee relations activities. You will provide consultation and coaching to Americas based employees and managers in employee-related areas such as (but not limited to): supporting a high performing and innovative culture, complex performance management, investigations and allegations of misconduct, conflict resolution, and sensitive terminations. You will work closely with key business partners to provide insights and suggest impactful solutions. This role will report into the Director, Employee Relations (Americas).

What you'll do

  • Lead an engaged team of HR professionals where growth, development and psychological safety are always top of mind
  • Lead a team in compassionately and effectively resolving employee relations and investigation concerns in accordance with internal policies and local/regional legislation
  • Be a thought partner for all levels of management and key internal partners such as Employee Experience Business Partners, Employment Counsel, and Centers of Excellence (COEs)
  • Deliver an exceptional employee experience by simplifying experiences using technology and self-service initiatives where possible
  • Provide expert advice to our experienced Employee Relations team while demonstrating a solid understanding of company policy, culture and core values, and clearly communicating where there may be opportunities for development and improvement
  • Make recommendations to help resolve complex and unique employment related issues and support necessary courses of action between managers and employees to drive positive outcomes
  • Provide business insights to advise future strategy

What you need to succeed

  • 8+ years of relevant experience focused on employee relations and employment investigations concerns; shared service experience is a plus
  • Prior leadership experience leading and/or driving multiple, concurrent, high-priority employee relations activities with a focus on timeliness, consistency, empathy, operational excellence, and employee experience
  • Ability to develop strong professional relationships with direct team, peers, managers, executives and cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated effective influencing skills to provide resolution of complex and highly sensitive employee relations concerns
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong documentation skills
  • Ability to anticipate potential issues and diagnose root cause through active listening and thoughtful inquiry
  • Ability to use sound judgment to problem solve, make decisions, and involve necessary individuals at the appropriate time
  • Demonstrated success driving process improvements
  • Bachelor's degree required; JD, MBA or other Advanced Degree preferred

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $101,600 -- $198,700 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
