Job Description

The Role 

Our IT fulfillment and end user computing area is an incredibly exciting opportunity to help design the systems and team that you have always wanted to be a part of. The Manager, EUC will be responsible to design, implement, and maintain device management platforms like Intune and related end point management platforms. The Manager, EUC will be responsible to build and maintain patching schedules, building imaging tasks, and managing BYOD devices. This role is also responsible for overseeing our IT fulfillment warehouse and related operations. As the Manager, EUC you are a problem solver and genuinely like helping team members work through issues with their computer systems, software, hardware, etc.

This role is in our Mundelein Operations Center and requires onsite work 4-5 days per week.

Responsibilities 
  • Manages and monitors the delivery of services, prioritization of efforts, and the outcomes for the various EUC engineering areas and services 
  • Provide direct oversight and leadership within our warehouse, warehouse management system, and related IT fulfillment procedures for new site openings, site remodels/relocations, and employee onboarding/offboarding 
  • Performs EUC engineering development and initiative management focused on executing strategic activities that cross functional lines. 
  • Identifies trends through root cause analysis of incidents and works with relevant teams to ignite initiatives to solution by way of application/infrastructure change, communication or partner education. 
  • Provides leadership and problem solving in the management of day-to-day operational activities of EUC engineering  
  • Anticipates and tracks operational and tactical risks and provides strategic solutions. 
  • Oversees and reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics for EUC technologies 
  • Serves as escalation point for major Incident and triage activities related to EUC Engineering 
  • Coach, mentor, train and support team members in the fulfillment of their operational day-to-day obligations 
  • Stays up to date on industry regulations, trends, and technology. 
  • Manage, maintain and monitor the internal & external (cloud) systems and infrastructure 
  • Design and deploy systems for 100+ manufacturing and retail locations 
  • Build imaging infrastructure to effortlessly reimage various devices remotely 
  • Build patching processes to ensure device security and compliance 
  • Partner with Information Security around endpoint security software 
  • Manage BYOD and partner with Information Security to protect corporate data on them 
  • Create infrastructure documentation and keep it up to date on our team wiki 
  • Automate system administration tasks 
  • Work closely with department members to design, build, test, and deploy our systems 
  • Administer asset management systems and processes 
  • Administer inventory intake, warehousing, and shipping of equipment 
  • Administer equipment testing and training lab 
  • Manage your own IT projects and take full ownership 
  • Sync your activities and share your experience with a diverse team 
  • Some travel may be required (5-10%) 
Qualifications  
  • 6+ years of direct IT operations and engineering experience 
  • supporting technologies including but not limited to authentication, networking, e.g. routing protocols/technologies TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN, WAN, Wireless and VPN, peripherals, active directory services, GPO 
  • Operating system deployment, driver management, encryption, etc for Microsoft Windows, OSX and iOS 
  • maintenance and change including patch management, vulnerability management, change management, application testing, packaging and deployment 
  • Apple MDM, MAM and compliance, software alternatives, and related technologies/components including but not limited to Apple Business Manager, DEP, VPP, Apple Configurator, MySQL, VMware & Windows server 
  • end point conferencing platforms like Microsoft Teams, Cisco Jaber, Cisco WebEx and Zoom 
  • Experience with maturing operations and engineering processes, documentation, monitoring capabilities and queue workflow 
  • IT Fulfillment experience 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required 
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change 
  • strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques, excellent communication 
  • skills, and the ability to work effectively with client and IT management, staff and vendors. 
  • A self-starter with a passion for technology, teamwork, overcoming challenges, prioritization, 
  • problem solving, diagnosis/troubleshooting & providing exceptional customer service 
  • Strong adaptation skills including the ability to communication at all levels, analytical ability, 
  • strong judgment and management skills, and the ability to work effectively with partners, staff, vendors, IT and operational leaders. 
  • Leadership and organizational skills are required to manage multiple projects, develop periodic goals, manage and motivate team members towards the goals set, and ensure formality as a standard. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • MCSA, MCSE 
  • Deep knowledge of PowerShell or Python scripting 
  • We are specifically seeking a candidate with extensive server management experience (100+ preferred), supporting an employee population of 1000+, and managing large data sets

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
