As an Engineering Manager, you will be directly involved in various initiatives such as developing new features, API integrations, process automation, and improving our existing HR & Admin functions platform. You will manage a team of skilled engineers and work closely with our HR, Admin, and Operations teams to drive project completion.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee developing and implementing robust front-end and back-end systems for pod owning admin experience in Plum.
• Design and implement complex workflows for handling insurance endorsements, leveraging the features of workflow management systems like Temporal. This includes managing asynchronous operations, handling retries, and managing timeouts.
• Implement and manage systems for payment collection related to endorsements, ensuring secure and user-friendly payment interfaces.
• Oversee the development and operation of payment reconciliation processes, ensuring accurate tracking of payments received, payments due, and any discrepancies.
• Develop and manage ledgers and statements for debit and credit transactions related to endorsements, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Be responsible for managing complex data structures and ensuring data consistency and integrity across systems and processes.
• Implement robust error handling mechanisms to ensure the reliable operation of endorsement workflows.
• Mentor and lead a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. This includes providing guidance on best practices for using workflow management systems, handling complex data structures, and managing financial transactions.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment with company objectives and seamless execution of projects.

Requirements:-

• Proven experience as a Tech lead or Engineering Manager in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong technical background with proficiency in developing robust front-end and back-end systems.
• Experience with workflow management systems like Temporal, particularly in designing, implementing, and managing complex workflows.
• Knowledge and experience in implementing systems for payment collection, payment reconciliation, and management of financial transactions related to endorsements.
• Experience managing complex data structures and ensuring data consistency and integrity across systems and processes.
• Familiarity with error handling mechanisms and ability to ensure the reliable operation of endorsement workflows.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the insurance domain, particularly with the technical aspects of managing endorsements, is a plus.
• Good knowledge of distributed systems.
