Job Description

The Enterprise Strategy Manager role will serve as part of a high performing and collaborative team, where you will participate and support the development, execution, and communication of strategy across the enterprise. The incumbent will engage with leadership from across each of GuideWell's business units to better understand industry dynamics as we develop strategies that aid in the transformation of our business and deliver industry leading capabilities to those stakeholders we serve.

This role will serve as one of GuideWell's Enterprise thought leaders, helping to ensure strategic focus areas from across our business units are incorporated appropriately into our enterprise strategy, while aiding in the execution of strategies within each of the geographies we serve. On this highly visible team, you will work on cross-functional projects with key stakeholders, including senior executive leadership, to make an impact on our enterprise priorities. While also partnering internally with product, pricing, analytics, and corporate development partners to identify capability gap closures across the business, including potential partnerships and acquisitions that will help to curate the GuideWell ecosystem of care. Strong knowledge of health care services across payor, providers, and technology companies is a requirement of this role.

Job duties include but are not limited to: • In a consultant-like manner, supports and facilitates Enterprise Strategy development, Business Unit Strategy development and deep dive analysis around key strategic issues.• Drive project work to support and facilitate enterprise strategy development, business unit connectivity, and deep-dive analysis surrounding key industry/strategic questions.• Contributes to the enablement and provision of data/intelligence, frameworks, key questions and meeting facilitation with key executives to drive definition and alignment around the "how and execution" for key strategies• Engage with senior team members to progress enterprise and business needs, defining, and providing recommendations to leadership to advance key workstreams, including the ability to leverage data / intelligence to align with leaders on the rationale and execution behind key strategies• Anticipate key challenges and obstacles in project work, developing strategies to mitigate barriers across the enterprise, partnering with leadership to establish positive working relationships with team members and business partners to advance workflows• Defines, enables or contributes to strategic needs across enterprise, business units and key functional areas, acting as an advisor across the broader Enterprise in support of strategic analysis/needs/insights• Supports key strategic deliverables surrounding GuideWell's corporate development and strategic investments, including: Support and contribute to trend analysis and understanding of new potential markets, the growth potential of those markets, including potential areas for divestment. Assist in transforming Enterprise and Business Unit priorities into specific opportunities for capital allocation• Develops and delivers clear and concise communications with supporting data and recommendations to enable organizational understanding around key strategies, positions and strategic issues.• Owning development of high-quality deliverables, accurate, visually appealing, logically structured, and formatted) such as landscape assessments, strategies, business cases, and business unit overview presentations

Job Requirements: • 6+ years related work experience - management or strategy consulting, corporate strategy development or implementation, or corporate development (mergers/acquisition, equity research)• Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience• Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and presentation development/ leadership skills• Experience in implementation and execution of large enterprise-wide initiatives and processes, underscored by strong critical thinking• Proven success designing, developing, and delivering high-quality solutions for strategy, enterprise-wide transformation, and/or innovation projects• Strong written and verbal presentation/ communication skills that effectively convey complex issues, packaging insights into an executive ready package to aid in rapid decision-making• In-depth working knowledge of the health care operating environment with experience in health care, specifically focused on health insurance and clinical asset operations• Direct exposure in health care strategy development and implementation, spanning multiple business functions and segments of the business, including product development, pricing, analytics, and competitive intelligence• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Access with ability to develop and contribute to consultant-like quality content for leadership• Strong desire to learn new areas of the business that are not immediately aligned to this role, while building relationships across multiple organizations without direct authority• Experience in financial modeling and strong knowledge of financial statements (NAIC, GAAP)• Ability to collaborate, influence, and present to senior leadership in a clear and succinct manner

Preferred:• Advanced degree, such as MBA, MPA, MPH, or MHA• Fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, verbal)• Significant knowledge and experience associated with the government markets segment, including Medicare, Medicaid, Individual Under 65, or the Puerto Rican health care market including key areas such as Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and Clinical Asset Operations (on-island)• 2+ years of experience in strategy or consulting at a health plan with Puerto Rican domiciled operations with in-depth understanding of local market operations

General Physical Demands
