Team or Function Overview:

The Global Process Owner's (GPO) role is to optimize business processes to drive growth, enhance customer satisfaction and achieve long term success at GAF. By standardizing, evolving, innovating and anchoring the processes we will help achieve the company goals and deliver value for our customers.

Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis the Record to Report (R2R) Global Process Owner will lead and drive the overall Record to Report business transformation by designing standard operating procedures and process implementation.

As the Record to Report lead, you are responsible for the Record to Report Global Process group which will trigger and enable the business transformation for the GAF organization, while partnering virtually with all businesses and functions. You will drive consistency and quality while building the End to End R2R process to support the Director of FP&A in designing the structure for the whole end to end process under the ERP project. You will be responsible and accountable for delivering on time and on budget the planned outcome on the different activities under the project for your Global Process (R2R)). You will work directly with the business and leadership to define project outcomes, develop business cases and KPIs, to support the Director of Fp&A and the Senior Director of ERP processes in the decision making. You will play a key role in the transformation as well as the implementation of the new ERP system. You will be responsible for the key deliverables that will include delivery of high performing, standardized, documented accounting and reporting processes enabled by system design, policy, governance and effective change management.

Essential Duties:

As R2R process lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Drive the ERP (RTR) project charter, team structure and resource allocation plans
  • Define and govern accounting and reporting processes, (including intercompany), system design, and controls (setup, billing, reconciliation).
  • Define & govern product cost accounting & inventory accounting ensuring transparent & accurate Supply Chain Finance
  • Provide input on communication plan for ATR processes and communicate project progress to impacted functions as directed by ERP leadership team
  • Raise issues early and often to overall team/team leadership to ensure quick and thoughtful resolution
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, vendors, and project team members
  • Continuously measure performance progress against original plan

Key deliverables include:

  • Develop strategy and structure for defining accounting and reporting vision toward process excellence
  • Manage project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans to minimize their impact on the project.
  • Define and govern Asset management & GL management
  • Ensure program and business needs are addressed through proactive priority management with business leaders
  • Define & Govern Direct, Indirect Tax and Tax Accounting ensuring effective Tax risk management
  • Lead and facilitate meetings ATR team and business stakeholders to define strategic ATR process objectives and key success factors
  • Develop best practices and standards for SAP, while ensuring documentation of the processes is fully captured for sustainability; well beyond the lifespan of the project.
  • Ensure thorough, relevant and timely training plans are developed for ATR Global Process and executed for successful adoption by the overall GAF organization - including all new processes, systems, and ways of working at all levels of the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required.
  • 7+ years related experience required.
  • SAP experience required (S/Hana is possible).
  • Previous experience in an enterprise-wide ERP implementation preferred.
