The Role: Events Manager
Slalom is seeking an Events Manager to join our Global Business Advisory Services team. As Events Manager, you will support our growing Global BAS team through project management, communications, event management, and general business operations. Our Globas BAS crew is an amazing group of bright, passionate, and experienced consultants & leaders.
The Events Manager will be responsible for planning and executing internal and partner events. Whether executing a multi-day internal business meeting or a developing a partner workshop program, we love creating engaging environments for our clients and employees where we can share information and strengthen our partnerships. We are looking for someone with a demonstrated commitment to excellence, flexibility, poise, confidence and the ability to interface with our partners and leadership team in a professional manner.
Core Responsibilities:
- Spearhead internal and external event planning while partnering with numerous stakeholders across the country
- Establish event strategy and ensure that event business goals are achieved
- Identify and manage all event work streams including budget management, contract negotiations, vendor sourcing & selection, event communications, registration management, on-site coordination, calendar management, etc.
- Manage other general operations projects and tasks as warranted
- Establish and maintain excellent rapport with Slalom's executives and leadership teams
- Represent the Slalom culture in a positive light, always working with a customer service attitude
- Manage or assist with other large scale company events as needed, which may include Slalom partnership events
- Experience creating and executing memorable, detail-oriented, and inclusive virtual and in-person employee experiences (with no task viewed as "too small")
- Experience working in an event planning role with a global company, including managing large budgets and complex schedules across different time zones
- Comfortable with ambiguity, and the ability to set priorities while working both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines
- Proficient & comfortable working with event production technology
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient with PowerPoint and Excel
