About the Opportunity
The core function of the Manager, Event & Digital is to assist on all event operations, achieving successful execution of all events. This position is a key member on the CGI Events & Digital Team, which focuses on developing and running events (in person and digital) for the initiative, as well as supporting other initiatives in the foundation. They will report to the Deputy Director, Events & Digital, and will play a critical role in the oversight of the following areas: event production and logistics, audience development, budget management, inter-departmental coordination, and reporting.

Core Responsibilities
In this role you will:
Manage Assigned Events
- Work with program leads and vendors for all logistic items related to events including timeline, list of deliverables, load in/load out, third-party vendors, graphics, A/V elements, rentals, staging, etc.
- Participate in venue selection, set up, space allocation and the master production schedule for events in conjunction.
- Manage event’s budget, collecting information from different internal and external points of contact, scheduling regular budget reviews, and performing timely budget reconciliation post events.
- Coordinating catering and special events.
- Oversees internal staffing plans and related logistics so that each event is properly staffed across roles and departments.
Event Operations
- In conjunction with the department lead, update/develop best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for CGI events.
Digital Events
- Manage planning of assigned digital events.
- In conjunction with the department lead, update/develop best practices and SOPs for digital events.
- Oversee implementation of SOPs
- Research ways to innovate digital events to create a better attendee experience.
Digital Property Support
- Work closely with the Clinton Foundation’s Deputy Director of Marketing & Digital to support web content updates, including event websites and platforms.
- In collaboration with the Event Department lead, and the Community Growth team, develop and implement the attendee communication strategy for each event.
Minimum Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent required
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the field in positions of increasing responsibility.
- 2-3 years of event planning and project management experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) required, database experience preferred
- Ability to work in a varying schedule including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness/flexibility to work long hours in preparation for and during event
Compensation & Benefits
Our best estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is $68 – 73K annually, depending on the experience you bring. This range is based on NYC market rates and may be adjusted if you will be working remotely. We look forward to discussing our compensation pricing strategy, and your expectations, throughout the interview process.
