First (Days) (United States of America)Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Manager of Finance.

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: Will be on-site at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM

Minimum Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

  • Required: 5 years of experience in accounting or finance

  • Required: 2 years of experience in healthcare

  • Preferred: Master's Level Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration

Position Overview:

Position is responsible for the oversight, leadership and technical direction of Division-level financial analysis. Reports directly to the Sentara Norfolk General - CFO. Facilitates answers to complex problems of a diverse scope where in-depth analysis and evaluation is required. Project management is broad in scope and involves multiple functional areas spanning Sentara Norfolk General. Responsible for various operational and financial reporting areas across Sentara Norfolk General. Provides support for the Forecast preparation and analysis. Position will interface with various levels of management.

Job Summary

Works in a business partner relationship with designated Senior Leadership as well as provides financial support to managers. Actively participates in all product line development issues, providing financial support to include financial feasibilities, vendor contracting, reimbursement contracting issues and overall product line profitability analysis. Supervises designated finance personnel.
Master's Level Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
