Position Purpose: The Manager of Finance oversees and conducts the professional, analytical and reporting responsibilities related to specific finance functions. This position may reside in a central department or business unit.
• Directs staff to ensure performance standards and objectives are achieved or exceeded.• Manages the preparation of financial data and documents and related analyses.• Manages various ongoing finance functions specific to the department or unit.• Provides analyses to management, committees, auditors, or requesting entities.• Provides support and expertise to internal and external auditors.• Manages internal and external reporting specific to the department or unit.• Ensures compliance with Company policies and government rules and regulations.• Develops and implements policies and procedures to provide control over and minimize areas of financial risk.• Manages the preparation of complex financial models, forecasting, impact analyses, variances, etc.• Maintains an understanding of applicable systems, software, databases, etc.• Performs management duties including, but not limited to, budgeting, performance management, staff development, coaching, training, staffing, disciplinary action, performance standards, and goals and objectives.• May participate in vendor management.• Performs other duties, projects and special assignments as assigned.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance. Six to eight+ years of experience in financial analysis and accounting. Three to five years of experience in the health care services industry. Two to three+ years of experience in supervising associates. Experience with large data analyses and manipulation in Access and Excel or similar applications
