Job Summary: 

Vividion Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join the Finance team. This new role will support a dynamic and high growth organization that is radically changing the biotechnology industry. This position will report to the Director of FP&A and assist in partnering with stakeholders across the Company to provide financial analysis and guidance in or to reach Vividion’s financial targets and goals. The successful candidate must be comfortable challenging the status quo, driving change, managing through uncertainty while supporting a fast-paced organization.

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead and support budgeting, forecasting and reporting across all business functions for operating plan KPIs, headcount management, annual budget cycle planning, long range strategic planning and monthly variance analysis
  • Build, enhance and maintain complex financial models, analyses and dashboards to support key decision making for early drug discovery efforts through clinical trials
  • Leverage and develop tools to provide value-add variance and key driver analysis for departments by partnering and working closely with the cross functional teams and senior leadership
  • Assist in preparation of senior management financial reviews, including preparation of presentation materials, consolidation templates, and other ad-hoc requests
  • Support strategic business initiatives including the structure and evaluation of potential partnerships and acquisitions
  • Devise and enhance improved consolidation, analytic and reporting processes within the organization
  • Establish and maintain strong business partnerships with key counterparts including but not limited to HR, Accounting, Procurement and functional business owners.

Experience and education requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or Economics; MBA a plus
  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience in a mid-size biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device company.
  • Strong to advanced MS Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables etc.) as well as proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint) required.
  • Demonstrated skills in preparing forecasts and producing accurate financial and operational metric reporting.
  • Proactive, responsive and timely problem solver with superior analytical skills, outstanding project management capacity, acute attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to bring people together to work collaboratively in a cross functional manner.
  • Experienced, resourceful team leader with a desire to develop others.
  • Possess relevant knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, as well as familiarity with the biotech industry
  • Experience using enterprise business systems and applications such as Adaptive Analytics, Workday, Jaggaer procurement, etc.

Pay & Benefits: 

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $125,000 depending on relevant skills, experience, and education. In addition, this position is eligible for target bonus, long-term-incentives, 401k retirement savings plan with company match, and a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
