MANAGER, FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS

Rocket Lab is hiring a key member of our Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, this role is highly visible and will be responsible for performing financial analysis and modeling, designing and preparing the financial plans and budgets, as well as analyzing, interpreting, and communicating financial information to senior management. This individual will help drive Rocket Lab's monthly, annual and long-range planning processes, support executive and public reporting activities, and partner closely with leaders across the company to deliver accurate financial forecasting and actionable insights.

What you'll do: 

• Consolidate, analyze and present company-wide actual and forecast of Non-GAAP financial statements
• Maintain and monitor business performance against budgets and forecasts
• Prepare and participate in quarterly earning process including Board presentations, earnings package prep and earnings transcript review
• Automate and standardize reporting for the Finance organization
• Manage and maintain the finance reporting systems
• Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and internal controls
• Ad hoc research and analysis as needed by executive management team.
• Business partnering as it is highly needed across various groups including Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations, Business Units, Sales, Marketing, IT, People & Culture, and Legal.

Other duties could include:

• Target local, regional, and state economic development authorities for incentive programs
• M&A support

Qualities you'll bring: 

• Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience; MBA preferred
• 5 years' experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace and defense industry.
• ERP experience using Infor LN, Oracle, JDE, SAP or similar ERP system
