Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (Hybrid)

You will play a leadership role in the improvement of the executive decision-making support capability by planning, analysis, management reporting and process improvement. Through business knowledge, you will be a catalyst for change which will result in improved operational performance for the FP&A team. You will manage the analysis of operational information to lead insights to assess, interpret and predict performance to support management decisions. You will lead a team of Financial Analysts to provide management reporting, modelling, and financial systems support.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

• Provide overall integrated financial planning, data gathering, analysis, recommendations and management reporting support

• Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations and provides valuable performance analysis and reporting by highlighting important business performance risks, issues and opportunities for management

• Oversee the annual planning and forecasting process to provide meaningful budgets and forecasts that are integrated with primary business processes

• Develop the best processes and standards for maintaining and improving current business plan forecast goals including clear documentation of assumptions and presentation for ELT/MLT and other partners

• Use storytelling to turn data into relevant recommendations for optimizing costs, increased revenue generation opportunities while ensuring profitability targets

• Support complex decisions, test hypothesis about business problems and measure risk and opportunity costs, even when outside of core job responsibilities

• Lead a team of focused Financial Analyst by exemplifying Moneris values and leadership behaviours

• Oversee department documentation of internal controls, identifying control gaps, remediation of control gaps and testing and overseeing financial technology administration

• Comply with corporate policies established by Moneris Corporation including Moneris Code of Conduct, Technology Policy & Privacy Policy

• Perform other tasks, as required

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Business/ Commerce/ Accounting/ Finance or a related field of study

• Professional designation (CPA, CFA) or MBA would be a strong asset

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis is required

• 2+ years of leadership/ people management experience

• Previous experience in the Credit card issuing or payment industry considered an asset

• Advanced to expert proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with experience building Excel Models, Reports and PowerPoint presentations required

• SQL coding considered an asset

• Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills with the ability to apply strategic thinking to business issues

• Exceptional management skills to achieve results

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of staff and management with varying degrees of financial knowledge

• Experience prioritizing against many competing interests in an environment of constant change

• Demonstrated approach to roll-up sleeves to support team members in a hands-on environment, when needed
