Description
The Manager Financial Reporting produces accurate and timely internal and external reports to management and outside organizations.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervises employees, provides direction, coaches, trains and develops, and manages performance to company goals and expectations.
2. Updates and maintains systems of profitability; supports business units and trains new managers in budgeting software and budget variance reporting; reviews business units' budget variance explanations; maintains funds transfer pricing system for profitability analysis.
3. Performs assigned functions for monthly, quarterly, and annual close; reviews staff work papers; tests key internal controls over financial reporting; performs analytical review of balance sheet and income statement.
4. Responsible to meet compliance with regulatory reporting.
5. Prepares and reviews monthly executive and board reports and other management reports as directed; tracks and reports trends of key indicators of financial results; prepares and/or reviews regulatory, correspondent, and other external reports as directed.
6. Keeps up-to-date with current financial reporting and accounting procedures and regulations.
7. Develops and produces custom reports and special projects as requested; assists in migration of custom to distributed systems; assigns to direct reports and oversees development as appropriate; manages assigned special projects through own performance and through delegation and oversight of staff.
8. Assist in preparation of business reviews and presentations to senior management, including performance to plan and forecast, and ad hoc analysis.
9. Develop, drive and implement process improvements and standardizations.
10. Responsible for coordinating enterprise-wide annual budgeting activities and communications.

Technical Expertise
1. Experience in Accounting in financial services or banking is required.
2. Experience in banking laws, regulations, and guidelines are required.
3. Experience in lending is preferred.
4. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Encompass, Cleartouch, OnBase, various government and investor software/web portals is preferred.
Education and Experience
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience, is required; Master's degree is preferred.
2. Certification: CPA is preferred.
3. Years of experience: 5 to 7 years is required.
4. Years of experience supervising: 3 to 5 years is required.
Physical Environment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, walk, stand, sit, bend, reach with hands and arms, climb, push/pull, use hands, and see, hear and speak.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
• This position is performed in an office setting, five days a week with typical work hours being 8.30a through 5.15p.
