Appnovation is looking for a Manager of Financial Reporting located in Vancouver, BC or Hong Kong SAR to join our finance team. The Manager of Financial Reporting is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting function of the company. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and is based out of the Appnovation Vancouver Headquarters.
YOU WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO:- Compile and review monthly financials and perform variance analysis over prior periods and budget to actual;
- Review quarterly consolidation for internal and external reporting purposes;
- Prepare and review consolidated and statutory financial statements;
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for Senior Management and the Board of Directors;
- Establish and maintain standard accounting policies and internal controls for existing operations as well as new businesses acquired;
- Manage the financial audit process including communication with auditors and the preparation of the related analyses and working papers;
- Comply with state/provincial, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings;
- Liase with external consultants for Corporate tax filings and tax planning as necessary;
- Ensure covenant compliance and;
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned.
- 6+ years’ of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting experience, including experience in public accounting practice;
- Qualified CPA or equivalent;
- Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize is a must;
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills;
- Extremely organized, detail oriented and takes pride in quality;
- Experience in FinancialForce is an asset;
- Expertise in accounting and financial principles and governance (GAAP, IFRS);
- Proficient in Excel.
