Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting, the Manager of Financial Reporting will possess keen attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset. The Financial Reporting team owns North American reporting functions and works cross-functionally with finance and other teams around the world to deliver consolidated results on a monthly basis.
The Impact You Will Make:
- Create month end working papers with respect to relevant applicable accounting standards
- Work closely with business stakeholders and finance business partners to ensure all reporting needs are captured in system
- Review month-end working papers and financial statements prepared by the team
- Preparation and review of position papers on both new initiatives and existing key transaction streams
- Participate in the launch of new business initiatives, advising on accounting policy implications of initiatives
- Coordinate with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to ensure accounting methodologies also meet management reporting requirements
- Review consolidation files and flux analysis prepared by the team
- Work globally on accurate financial system management with stakeholders
- Manage and mentor senior accountants, providing guidance on complex accounting issues and ensuring team deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations
What You Bring To The Table:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- CPA Designation
- Strong financial reporting background with technical knowledge of IFRS
- Prior experience working in an audit firm
- Experience preparing financial position papers
- Ability to identify and improve processes to drive efficiencies
- Approachable with the ability to communicate cross-functionally within an evolving organization
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information effectively and professionally
- Must be able to prioritize work and have the ability to work independently as well as an effective member of the overall Finance team
- Demonstrated a high level of adaptability and works well under pressure
- Takes initiative and identifies issues with a solutions-oriented approach, a strong ability to overcome challenges, and high-level confidence in your decision-making ability.
- Delivers reporting, analysis, and general accounting through collaborating with business leaders across the organization.
- Strong communicator, able to translate complex financial concepts in terms easily understood.
