We are looking for a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis!
The US Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, has responsibility to provide insightful, accurate, and timely, analytical support to the company's senior decision makers.
As a manager in the FP&A team, this means providing the financial and analytical backbone for corporate plans, budgets, and forecasts, and examining actual performance against those plans.
Responsibilities:
Position will be broadly responsible for a range of processes and information related to investment decisions, forecasting, budgeting, flash reporting, MD&A, tracking risks and opportunities, and communications to senior leaders.
Forecasting:
- Coordinate monthly forecast process for one segment of the AES US portfolio.
- Ensure understanding of main drivers of performance and variations vs. forecast.
- Integrate analysis into monthly reporting process.
- Preparation of materials to Board meetings.
Annual Budget Process:
- Coordinate 5-year budgeting process for one relevant business of the AES US portfolio.
- Provide analysis of risks and opportunities to be used in the annual guidance setting process.
Qualifications:
Formal Education
- Undergraduate degree in an analytical discipline (business, finance, or related field desirable).
Experience
- Five or more years of corporate finance experience, with a concentration in financial analysis, modelling (to include DCF, NPV, etc. analysis), financial reporting, and presentation support.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of SAP BPC preferred. Ability to understand and explain complex financial models.
- Working knowledge of standard accounting practices and principles.
Soft skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Must be comfortable working with ambiguity and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Readiness to take charge in ambiguous situations, provide structure and direction to diverse and potentially geographically distributed teams-potentially without formal lines of authority to underwrite that leadership.
