The accounting manager will take sole responsibility and ownership of a fund structure assigned to him/her. The core responsibilities include:

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly and annual audited financial statements including footnote disclosures for multiple entities. Identifying and resolving exceptions and inaccuracies affecting accounting records while escalating as necessary to management and assisting with the resolution.
  • Prepare supporting workpapers including fund metrics, (IRR (unlevered and levered), MOIC, and other fund analytics) and variance analyses. Maintain supporting schedules and reconciliations for annual audits, collaborating with external auditors as necessary.
  • Produce various internal and external ad hoc requests including investor requests, regulatory reporting, and projections of fund or investor data.
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations and quarterly investor statements in ensuring adequacy of investors' allocation. Oversight of cash movements, wire setup, and investment fundings.
  • Calculate management fees, offsets, waivers, etc. and incentive fees in accordance with the LPA ensuring adequacy of investors' allocation.
  • Prepare notices and investor allocations for capital calls and distributions.
  • Maintain a working understanding of the limited partnership agreements(s) and GAAP and apply the terms and concepts to fund reporting.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the client and internal upper management when necessary for timely delivery of requested items and escalation of priority items or identified risks.
  • Assist with coverage across the team when needed.
  • Assists with training and development of the team ensuring knowledge is shared across the team to aid in coverage and redundancy.
  • Works independently towards planned targets, overcoming obstacles, setbacks, and uncertainty. Independently able to move forward multiple identified priorities with limited senior direction.
  • Demonstrates an analytical mindset, detail orientation, problem-solving capabilities, and solution-orientation.
  • Have a process improvement mentality looking for streamlined reconciliations and reporting and taking a lead in implementation of identified improvements.
  • Demonstrates an ability to manage up, across, and down when needed with amicability and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or another business-related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in asset management industry
  • Experience with multi-tiered master-feeder fund structures and investor reporting
  • Experience in public accounting or fund administration accounting
  • Experience running the financial close process

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA is highly desirable
  • Experience in Investran is highly desirable

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. Compensation Range for this position: $85,000-$140,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
