Your role in our success:

Manages and oversees all activities to include engineering, inventory, and maintenance responsibilities for the safe, efficient, economical management of gas operations for their respective divisions.

What you'll be working on:

• Provides direction and coordination of gas distribution operations and maintenance functions for a large geographic region.
• Direct supervision of management of service, installation and maintenance, measurement, system operations, warehouse departments. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and local codes and regulations.
• Works proactively to promote the company's growth objectives; Participate in the development and implementation of strategic planning to assure that business objectives and goals are accomplished
• Oversees and administers the O&M Manual, Procedures Manual, Operator Qualification Plan, Hurricane Plan, Emergency Manual, etc. and assist with necessary revisions.
• Provide an oversight of specification of material, tools and equipment used by all gas divisions to ensure standardization. Negotiate contracts with vendors.
• Responsible for creation and adherence to operations budget for the division;
• Assists HR and Director of Operations with all union matters including negotiations of respective Union Agreements.
• Responsible for all management duties including hiring, coaching, promotion, discipline, termination, training and development.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by Director, Gas Operations

Who you are:

• 7+ years of progressive natural gas operations experience including managing teams at all levels, both union and non-union; Bachelors degree preferred.
• Must have effective communication skills.
• Must be able to make safe and timely decisions and direct others
• Motivates and directs in a manner to achieve and support the company's core values and the vision of the Gas Operations unit
• Proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows
• Strong analytical skills
• Be able to work a flexible schedule including emergency response and "On-Call" responsibilities on a regular basis
• Be proficient with computer database and spreadsheet applications
• Must have a valid Florida Driver's license
