Your role in our success:
Manages and oversees all activities to include engineering, inventory, and maintenance responsibilities for the safe, efficient, economical management of gas operations for their respective divisions.
What you'll be working on:
- Provides direction and coordination of gas distribution operations and maintenance functions for a large geographic region.
- Direct supervision of management of service, installation and maintenance, measurement, system operations, warehouse departments. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and local codes and regulations.
- Works proactively to promote the company's growth objectives; Participate in the development and implementation of strategic planning to assure that business objectives and goals are accomplished
- Oversees and administers the O&M Manual, Procedures Manual, Operator Qualification Plan, Hurricane Plan, Emergency Manual, etc. and assist with necessary revisions.
- Provide an oversight of specification of material, tools and equipment used by all gas divisions to ensure standardization. Negotiate contracts with vendors.
- Responsible for creation and adherence to operations budget for the division;
- Assists HR and Director of Operations with all union matters including negotiations of respective Union Agreements.
- Responsible for all management duties including hiring, coaching, promotion, discipline, termination, training and development.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Director, Gas Operations
Who you are:
- 7+ years of progressive natural gas operations experience including managing teams at all levels, both union and non-union; Bachelors degree preferred.
- Must have effective communication skills.
- Must be able to make safe and timely decisions and direct others
- Motivates and directs in a manner to achieve and support the company's core values and the vision of the Gas Operations unit
- Proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows
- Strong analytical skills
- Be able to work a flexible schedule including emergency response and "On-Call" responsibilities on a regular basis
- Be proficient with computer database and spreadsheet applications
- Must have a valid Florida Driver's license
