Manager, Global Conferences Creative Journey Team
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the creative journey for external conferences with a focus on business unit experiences (including clients and prospects) across the global portfolio through the build, branding elements and digital platforms of Gartner conferences.
- Management of operational process and project management through planning process and onsite or virtual execution at external conferences.
- Project manage the planning and implementation of signage, build, branding, furniture and finishing/accessory requirements for selected events in collaboration with the wider conferences team.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of operational process and project management playbooks to maximize the impact of the role and team.
- Creative, innovative, and proactive approach to all aspects of the role - constantly seeking to exceed past experiences and increase effectiveness across all processes.
- Collaboration with Gartner internal stakeholders to strategically advise and support their event objectives throughout the process, culminating with the conference experience.
- Build excellent relationships with the vendor partners - leading them to a Gartner level of creativity, innovation and passion in their conference planning and delivery.
- Effective financial management and predictability including budget creation, cost negotiation and accurate forecasting; highlight risks, recommendations for allocation of funds and management of a production planning calendar.
- Mentoring of junior team members to enhance their skillset and project management skills around internal stakeholder partners

Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 6+ Years Event Management, Branding and/or Experiential & Event Marketing Experience
- Proven creative and operational management responsibility & management of teams
- Proven event operational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload
- Management of multiple agency and vendor partners
- Effective people management skills and leadership
- Experience in creation of event spaces/environments/floor plans
- Proven and exceptional project management skills, effective management of time and prioritization
- Creative, innovative, strategic
- Strong financial management skills
- Client focused, solution oriented, and collaborative
- High sense of urgency, decisiveness, attention to detail and confidentiality
- Fully competent in Microsoft office and Google Suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel and similar in G-Suite
- Strong Oral & Written Communication Skills
- Willingness to travel approximately 30% of time
