The 2K Global Sports Marketing Strategy Team is a globally integrated team of experienced, diverse and talented marketing, communications, social, community (and more!) professionals working together and across the company to create memorable and innovative campaigns for our latest sports offerings from 2K.

What We Need:

We are looking for a Manager of Global Marketing Strategy, Sports to support the Global Marketing Strategy function across WWE 2K, PGA TOUR 2K and other popular sports franchise portfolios. This role will report to the Director of Global Marketing Strategy and will be a crucial part of the ongoing effort to further grow the 2K sports business globally and to push our brands to new heights within the interactive entertainment, sports, and popular culture spheres. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, a high level of emotional IQ, strong interactive gaming, sports, and/or lifestyle marketing knowledge, and the ability to continually evolve, drive, and maintain processes needed to ensure that the Global Marketing Strategy team continues to drive innovative and creative brand campaigns.

This candidate will also have experience in project management and display the ability to work with diverse groups and personalities including internal cross-functional disciplines (Communications, Media, Live Services, Influencer Marketing, Social Media, Community, Territories, Sales, Web, Legal and Creative), as well as licensors, various 3rd party agencies, external partners, and vendors. High attention to detail, ability to take direction, and keeping teams organized, motivated to do their best work, and well informed to hit deadlines will be critical in this role. Finally, we are looking for a teammate with a positive, roll-up-your-sleeves, can-do-attitude that will further strengthen the collaborative and dynamic culture of the team.

What You Will Do:

As a member of the 2K global sports marketing effort, the Manager, Global Marketing Strategy will be critical in scaling of 2K’s sports business. Amongst other marketing-oriented responsibilities, the candidate’s key duties will be to:

  • Lead in the day-to-day processes of Global Marketing Strategy execution including 360 plans, cross functional workflows such as creative development, media planning, social, web and other content development with respective teams.
  • Provide project management and support for team projects while managing up and delegating down across the team.
  • Lead recurring and adhoc meetings on behalf of the GMS team.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate and effectively execute on marketing activations across Insights, PR, Live Services, Influencer, Social, Community, Territories, Sales, Web, Media, Legal and Creative.
  • Manage external partners, talent, licensors and agencies across marketing collaboration, execution events, partner content, co-branded media, social and in-game activations in partnership with Events, Social, Influencer and Live Services teams.
  • Brief, project manage, and champion creative production across Marketing, Creative, Legal, Partner approvals and other necessary parties.
  • Be a representative of the Global Marketing Strategy team and liaise with Territory teams to ensure they receive assets and latest calendar updates.
  • Lead the development and coordination of Web and Media strategies and plans.
  • Support in the development of brand and channel strategies during planning and execution phases.
  • Effectively manage stakeholders, get buy in, and present new ideas and projects.
  • Develop strong presentations with succinct and compelling narratives.
  • Identify risks in advance and communicate appropriately.
  • Provide ongoing support of communication and game content feedback to Development Studios.

The ideal candidate:

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in marketing, sports, or communications
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • High passion for, and knowledge of, the gaming, sports, lifestyle brands landscape
  • Strong competence in understanding both artistic and scientific aspects of marketing and the ability to expertly lean into – or balance – either discipline for any challenge
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong EQ and people skills with ability to effectively and positively influence
  • Ability to listen, take direction, problem solve, and take-action
  • Strong deck and presentation skills a must
  • We are a fast-paced, dynamic team – the ability to multitask, pivot, roll with the punches, and do it with a positive attitude is paramount.
  • Self-starter, able to take ownership over tasks and carry them throughout to the end
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and succeed under pressure of time, of changing and challenging situations, and of high expectations from team
  • Previous games and/or sports marketing related industry experience a plus

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $95,000 and $130,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
