Who You Are:
You are equal parts creative and analytical, with the ability to bring insights and thought leadership to brand storytelling looking to take on the role of Manager, Global Communications at Supergoop! Reporting to the Sr. Director of PR and Partnerships, you’ll be a part of an innovative, fast-paced team who are dedicated to producing exciting and engaging experiences that reflect Supergoop!’s brand values. This position is global in scope and supports the Brand Marketing’s Communications team and requires someone who has a passion for public relations, media, organic influencer relations, makeup artistry, and international public relations.
Responsibilities:
PRESS & FOUNDER RESPONSIBILITIES - US & GLOBAL
- Drive and develop PR and media strategy for the brand globally supporting Senior Director of PR and in partnership with agency and brand partners
- Manage and drive storytelling opportunities across press and new mediums for product, brand, founder and activations to drive brand awareness and build brand buzz
- Manage day-to-day press requests for Supergoop! Brand, business storytelling, and founder press in partnership with brand’s PR agency of record in in the US, CAN, UK and new, emerging markets (EU and beyond).
- Support & deploy press strategy for new launches, retailer + direct to consumer market initiatives, brand campaigns
- Develop and manage go-to-market launch strategy for new & emerging markets, with special attention to product launches, brand positioning, and Founder positioning + in-person appearances
- Develop and manage strategy for Founder’s social & press appearances and overall strategy to continue to leverage her for press, panels, and more
- Drive 360 editorial programming, storytelling ideas for DTC CRM, social and press.
- Amplify Supergoop! Message and mission in UK and CAN (and beyond) through strategic gifting
- Develop and deploy global press kits & go-to-market toolkits for international markets, support and guide local market planning
- Partner with IRL/Brand Experiences team to help bring editor/press/influencer digital and IRL events to life so as to support Founder engagement, evergreen brand moments and new product launches
- Execute and staff Press Events, IRL/Brand Experiences, etc.
- Develop and execute launch strategies for brand partnership kits, products, and activations; propose partnerships for driving press
TASTEMAKER & VIP RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and cast 360 storytelling & brand equity-driving campaigns to further amplify and deepen brand message with press-friendly and press-driving tastemakers. Own relationships with editor-influencer hybrid creators; tap expertise for specific brand moments and contract for launches, events, etc.
- Develop 360 expert engagement plan and cultivate editorial-friendly relationships. Engage with paid partnerships with derms, estheticians and experts to amplify brand marketing initiatives
- Liaise with IRL/Brand Experiences team to further amplify press-worthy brand partnerships + programming with partner founders and luminaries (i.e., fashion designers, artists, etc.).
- Own press & influencer programming in conjunction with Supergoop! Founder strategy.
- Formalize & drive 360 makeup artist editorial programming, gifting, and paid engagement (i.e., red carpet looks, Met Gala, paid/sponsored opportunities)
- Develop strategy around award show engagement & gifting
- Build relationships with established and up-and-coming makeup artists for ongoing on-set and editorial inclusion. Further build out Supergoop! on Set programming.
- Manage VIP / celeb / athlete gifting and engagement in partnership with Brand Marketing Coordinator + Director
- Partner with Brand Experiences/IRL to host & execute on influencer/editor events, host and staff events as needed
INTERNAL & CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS
- Strategize & develop internal communications protocols in partnership with executive team & human resources department for full team-wide deployment
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
- Manage reporting in partnership with the Brand Marketing Coordinator
- Oversee daily send-outs to influencers, brand partners, VIPs, and more across US, UK, and Canadian markets with support from the Brand Marketing Coordinator
- Help develop crisis communications management in partnership with the brand marketing leaders
- Compile and deploy monthly trend reports that speak to industry developments & competitive reporting
- Report on brand’s editorial/press performance, report back on KPIs
- Develop internship programming for ongoing school-year and summer interns
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Prior relevant PR experience in beauty, fashion or related consumer goods sector (preferably on a founder based brand)
- A deep understanding of the media landscape, proven ability to oversee and drive press opportunities
- An ability to manage valuable relationships and collaborate with both internal and external partners
- Experience working directly with C-suite executives, founders and high level cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented; ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment, creative, initiative driven self-starter who can take an idea and run with it
- This role is on a hybrid office model and will require being in our NYC based offices multiple times a week
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000
