Farnell, an Avnet company, is a global high-service distributor of technology products, services and solutions for electronic system design, maintenance and repair.

• Monitoring of regional trade legislations, regulations and rulemaking trends impacting Farnell’s business interests within the APAC region
• Developing and maintaining relevant SOPs and procedures for trade related activities (import & export)
• Supervising a team to oversee and execute the day-to-day GTC operations within APAC region
• Monitoring and executing transactional/order compliance screening and export hold releases to support Farnell businesses
• Overseeing the submissions, administration of import & export licenses, and miscellaneous correspondences to government agencies
• Managing all enquiries from business stakeholders within APAC region
• Performing ad hoc compliance reviews for Farnell’s entities
• Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risks for process improvements
• Conducting Trade Compliance training to business stakeholders
• Supporting the APAC GTC department for ad hoc projects, as required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economics or equivalent qualifications
• Min 8 years of international trade experience (import/export) with good knowledges on export control
• Familiar with US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) & Asian export control system
• Working knowledge on relevant export compliance screening processes
• “Hands on” with high level of ethical standards
• Working knowledge of relevant trade laws & regulations
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive and able to multi-task
• Supervisory experience/skills
• Excellent communications skill (English & Mandarin a must)
