This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home.

The Manager, GSI New Business Policy Services provides managerial leadership for initiatives essential to the accelerated growth of GSI and medical residency business within the Disability Income sales division. This role manages the team responsible for new plan enrollments and policy increases, processing business from quoting / proposals through app submit and policy issue, and ongoing inforce service needs.

What you do

  • Build a cross-trained, high performing team through coaching and performance management of associates across locations
  • Identify and resolve problems for both internal external parties while maintaining adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Develop partnerships within the division and organization to engage in cross-functional business activities and collaborating to ensure common service delivery and building consensus to ensure all processes and service metrics benefit the customer.
  • Supervises and evaluates the workflow and associates in the functional area. Measures productivity and performance, and manages processes to meet established goals and objectives. Provide feedback, counseling, training or disciplinary action as needed to improve performance results.
  • This position will assist in processing work as needed to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Monitor the workflow and procedures of the functional area to ensure prompt, accurate, efficient and cost-effective service to our customers, the Field Force, and other Home Office Departments. Analyze workflow and procedures for possible cost savings and improvement in the service delivery. Work with other departments on new products, sales campaigns, and other initiatives to ensure that use of our resources and technology is effective and efficient, and that we have a smooth introduction to our customers and field force.
  • Assume responsibility for special projects and participate on teams within the company to achieve established department and corporate goals.
  • Establish and utilize overarching knowledge of systems, business processes and partner organizations to effectively manage day to day projects and continuous improvement opportunities related to our multi-life and guaranteed standard issue disability business

What you bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 4-7 years Related Experience required
  • 2-4 years People Management experience
  • Previous experience in Life Insurance and/or Disability Income is highly preferred
