Essential Functions

HCM Platform / System Technology Expertise

  • Assists in defining future state solution architecture by establishing strong business relationships, creating a strategic roadmap for realizing the vision, and articulating technology impact to business processes and the overall HCM functions.
  • Provide oversight of relevant technologies and platforms.
  • Monitor industry & technical trends and recommend appropriate technologies and platforms to accommodate evolving regulatory requirements, user needs and business and functional requirements.
  • Lead the development, support and rollout of relevant technologies and platforms.
  • Accountable for overall quality and delivery of HCM based technology solutions.

 Application Support and Operations Management

  • Manages the development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of relevant systems and platforms with business and IT and stakeholders as required.
  • Oversees provision of end-user services, including technical support services.
  • Coordinates and monitors support activities daily.
  • Escalates major incidents within the IT organization, managed service vendors, and/or cloud providers.
  • Communicates support status regularly.
  • Monitors managed service partners relative to established SLAs (Service Level Agreement).
  • Oversees SaaS (Software as a Service) provider system and support performance.
  • Manages IT assets and software components and collaborates with infrastructure teams for hardware and equipment asset management, as required.
  • Assists in negotiations and administers vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements, as required.

Requirements

  • Education, Work Experience, and Domain Knowledge
    • College diploma or university degree in computer science, information science, management information systems, or business administration.
    • 3-5 years related work experience in pharmaceutical domain designing, implementing, and supporting Enterprise-grade HCM oriented technical solutions (preferably Workday) to meet complex business requirements.
    • Minimum 5 years’ technical experience supporting / administering the Workday platform.
    • Hands on technical knowledge of most of Workday’s toolset including Extend, PRISM, Studio, BIRT, EIB, Calculated fields etc.
    • Experience with other ancillary integrated HR systems such as Phenom Talent Experience, OrgChart Enterprise, and O.C.Tanner is a plus.
  • Leadership and Teamwork
    • Demonstrated skills in helping negotiate priorities and resolving conflicts among project and functional stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive adoption of modern technologies, processes, and solutions.
  • Communication, Organization and Problem-Solving Skills
    • Strong problem-solving and software triage skills with ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment to dissect root cause of issues creating the best solution for Eisai considering quality, cost, and speed requirements.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong cognitive ability especially with respect to understanding, documenting, and describing complex technical subjects.
    • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with a strong customer-centric focus are necessary.  
    • Project management with ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly fast paced and changing dynamic environment.

    • Strong understanding of project management principles and Systems Development Life Cycle standards and familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum.
    • Experience in managing application / system changes in a controlled environment to comply internal policies and /or Regulatory Controls (e.g., SOX- Sarbanes-Oxley)
