Job Description
This Manager will lead a team in Eastern Wisconsin and be responsible for leading the deployment of core enterprise, local site, and multi-site technology programs and projects. Responsible for centralized hardware fleet management, standardization, and application deployment. Manages clients' expectations and establishes positive working relationships. Responsible for the recruitment, training, supervision evaluating and mentoring of staff.
Travel will be 15-25% throughout our Wisconsin sites. Can work remotely or at an Aurora site when not traveling.
Major Responsibilities:
- Delivers deployments of core enterprise hardware and technology programs and projects in compliance with project office policies and standards. (Core is defined as hardware, application programs, and projects owned by a Support Center or Support Operations team which works with this position to implement and upgrade the programs/projects at the respective site.)
- Establishes the lifecycle strategy of hardware and technology and successfully executes projects against it.
- Ensures that applications and hardware are current and available to support business operations.
- Serves as the primary hardware leader for core and site enterprise technology maintaining compliance with project office practices.
- Partners with HIT core teams, Support Operations, service lines and operational leaders to prepare deployment plans including cost estimates, schedules, budgets and resource requirements.
- Primary point of contact with technology vendors in order to best understand product roadmaps, ensure consistent support performance, and maximize benefits for Advocate Aurora Health Care.
- Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
- Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Typically requires 5 years of experience in information technology, project management, and/or system implementation. Includes 1 year of supervisory experience in managing staff and budgets in an Information Technology environment.
- Demonstrated project management skills. PMP desired.
- Knowledgeable of performance management and improvement techniques.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) or similar products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization. Good presentation skills.
- Proven experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment. Excellent team player.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal skill; technical and problem solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions.
- Strong decision making abilities.
