About the Role:
Bond Vet is building the next generation of veterinary clinics from the ground up — and we're looking for a strategic HR professional who will help develop and execute HR strategies, be an advocate for our employees, and help build programs that drive organizational and people effectiveness.Â
The Manager, HR Business Partner role at Bond builds strong partnerships with the business, seeks opportunities to problem solve, and provides strategic support to the regions and clinics you support. You will provide amazing internal customer support, and work with regional leaders to establish, drive, and constantly evolve our people strategy that is connected with the rest of Bond Vet.Â
This is a hybrid role with Tuesdays and Thursdays worked out of our office in New York City (Chelsea), and is expected to travel 20% of the time to various regions you partner with
What You’ll Do:
- Provide support to various regions and clinics and help set People priorities
- Partner with and guide clinic managers and regional leaders to provide strategic and professional HR guidance and coaching
- Partner with People Team to roll out and communicate key People initiatives - performance management, compensation, benefits, training and development programs
- Provide assistance with succession planning, promotions, and other job changes.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including conducting employee investigations when necessary from start to finishÂ
- Build strong relationships with clinic management and leadership teams
- Roll up your sleeves and dive into the high volume of daily operational People Team needs
- Work with our legal counsel to maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Be detail oriented regarding employee data, ensuring employee data integrity at all times.
- Leveraging analytics in decision making and being comfortable working in and with data sets.
- Regularly analyze and interpret various types of employee data to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to your client groups
About You
- You have a passion for understanding the goals of the organization and improving team processes
- You have successfully coached and influenced managers and leaders in a previous role
- You have a high degree of empathy and are a great communicator
- You have great organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to complete competing priorities
- You thrive in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same
- You have integrity and maintain confidentiality of our people data & analytics and use good judgment on a daily basis
- You have some experience supporting both non-exempt and exempt employee typesÂ
- You are strong a team player and willing to assist other team members when needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of HRBP experience
- SHRM, HRCI or other HR certificate Preferred
- Strong understanding of employment law
