Description

The Manager of HR Operations' responsibilities include day-to-day management and execution over HR policies, benefits, employee onboarding, payroll, and compliance. This role leads the HR Operations team and directs workflow to ensure efficient operations and an excellent employee experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the organization's HR policies, procedures and practices, including OverDrive's employee handbook, expense reimbursement policy, and other policies. Conduct regular reviews and recommend updates based on best practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure OverDrive's compliance.
  • Oversee onboarding of new employees including day one new hire orientation.
  • Manage all employee benefits, including research into potential plan changes, coordination of annual insurance renewals and completion of compliance requirements.
  • Develop and oversee the rollout/management of benefits & wellness programs.
  • Effectively maintain and utilize the HRIS; oversee HRIS processes including system changes, work processes, reporting, and self-service tools.
  • Manage payroll function ensuring accurate payroll processing.
  • Develop, maintain and administer OverDrive's Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Ensure documentation of teams' work processes, related forms, etc. as needed.
  • Manage team members of the HR Operations team to ensure outstanding related programs and service for OverDrive staff; hire and train new team members; manage performance of team by providing regular feedback, documenting and addressing deficiencies, and conducting performance reviews; delegate and prioritize work.
  • As a member of the leadership team, demonstrates thorough decisions, actions and words in commitment to OverDrive's mission and sustainability and community outreach initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • 6+ years' of applicable experience (payroll, benefits, employment law compliance, HRIS).
  • Excellent interpersonal / communication skills.
  • Expert with written communications, experience drafting clear and concise policies and employee communications.
  • Entrepreneurial leader of change.
  • HRIS knowledge / experience; Dayforce experience preferred.
