THIS POSITION IS FULLY REMOTE
The Manager HRIT Development Services- Is responsible for the global development and operational IT support of the enterprise-wide Human Resources application portfolio. Partners with the HR community and the global HRIT and HRIS organizations at all levels to determine business requirements and technology-based solutions. Manages external contractors and employees as it relates to the solution delivery and operational support of the global HR applications in scope for the Global HR Applications team.
Defines development and support standards for the HR Applications DevOps team and sets direction for the global application support and application change management to assure system availability and performance.
Coordinates with the Application Managed Services On-site and Offshore leads to align on development and application support assignments for the HR Apps AMS team.
Job Duties:
- Leads a customer-focused team of IT developments and operational support staff .
- Develops meaningful customer relationships and establishes strong partnerships with HR management teams.
- Collaborate with Project Management to provide leadership and ensure alignment with project governance structure.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert in functional area of expertise and consults on complex projects within HRIT domain.
- Consult without supervision in complex projects, and/or leads Medium Enterprise or smaller Large Enterprise projects
- Ensures business requirements, challenges, opportunities, and priorities are understood and considered.
- Ensures global alignment and consistency while effectively balancing global, regional, and local needs.
- Manages a portfolio of initiatives, projects and backlog of operational change requests.
- Establishes work prioritization and resource management processes to ensure limited resources are used as effectively as possible.
- Establishes sound IT application development and delivery processes. Ensures technology-based projects are delivered to the expected quality within the committed schedule and budget.
- Leads and manages the Workday and Datastage developers from the Application Managed Services team for HRIT.
- Is responsible for people management which includes, but is not limited to, resource planning, onboarding, work assignment, and addressing performance issues of contractors with leadership team in HRIT and AMS.
- Ensures understanding and compliance of all data privacy and audit requirements.
- Ensures effective operations of deployed applications. Ensures cost effectiveness of application support and maintenance. Identifies and implements improvements to reduce the total cost of ownership.
- Works closely with customer groups to identify application support requirements. Establishes service level agreements to formalize and measure the support and maintenance of deployed applications.
- Ensures applications are production-quality with safe and secure operations, high availability, reliable performance and minimal disruption.
- Establishes processes for submission and prioritization of system change requests including enhancements, improvements and fixes. Formalizes governance process to ensure active customer participation. Ensures sound and professional IT development and configuration management processes are followed.
- Works closely with Americas and EMEA regional HRIT teams to coordinate regional requirements that require IT development and support from the Global HR Applications team.
- Partner with HRIT Solution Architect to develop a Legacy System decommission roadmap, and design cutting-edge multi-application solutions.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required. Masters degree preferred.
- At least 10 years of technical/functional experience in applications development capacity is required.
- At least 8 years of experience in solution delivery and operational support for HR and Payroll systems and related integrations is required.
- Experience with development and technical support for DataStage integrations is required.
- Experience with development and technical support for Workday HCM is highly desired.
- Experience with Dell Boomi and Google Apigee integration tools is preferred.
- Ability to mentor others in the technical and/or business aspects of information systems task work.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex, matrixed organization within a multi-national company.
- Experience working in global organizations to implement and support technology. Proven understanding of cultural differences and ability to impact across cultures.
- Ability to lead technical application support in a customer-focused and excellence-driven organization.
- Strong project management background with expertise in project planning and execution. Through understanding of resource planning, scope control, risk and issue management. Thorough understanding of applications development methodologies, standards and best practices.
- Strong communication and presentation skills. Proven ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Proven ability to communicate effectively with management and colleagues who use English as a second language.
