Position Summary:

The Columbus Crew is currently seeking a Manager of Human Resources who will be responsible for performing a variety of human resources related duties in the following areas: recruiting, onboarding, training and development, employee engagement, benefits and compliance. This role will champion our mission, vision and culture and provide solutions to employee related matters by supporting the organization and driving greater efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and coordinating the company's recruiting strategy, including updating job descriptions, managing job postings, assisting in interview panel setups, participating in interviews, sending offer letters, and ensuring that the hiring process is equitable and inclusive for all candidates.
  • Manage employee lifecycle events including onboarding, new hire check-ins, new hire orientation, and offboarding processes.
  • Manage the performance review process and reinforce a constant feedback culture.
  • Create and implement annual engagement activities to improve retention.
  • Assist in creating, managing, and implementing companywide learning and development opportunities.
  • Complete and submit annual reporting and census data for MLS, federal and state requirements.
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Maintain and organize all HR records, ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, benefits, compensation, etc.
  • Assist with organizing employee initiatives and events, for example: new hire meet/greets, health fairs, all staff meetings, etc.
  • Perform other tasks/projects as needed.

Required Skills, Experience & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree Human Resources, Business, Management or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources, Learning and Development or Employee Engagement.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce products is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, comfortable with public speaking, organizational skills a must.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information and sensitive issues in a professional manner.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Due to nature of business and entertainment industry, employees' may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company, including, nights, weekends, and in some cases, holidays.
