THE ROLE

The Manager, Human Resources will administer and execute many of the Human Resources programs for The MLC.  The scope will be broad to lead and support HR Administration (payroll, time & attendance, onboarding, etc..), compensation & benefits, first-level investigations, compliance training and leading assigned projects.  This role will work with the Chief People Officer and People team to handle day-to-day responsibilities as well as create new ways to further promote the culture.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred​
  • SHRM certification strongly preferred​
  • At least two years of experience in Human Resources or a related field​; including hands on experience with administrative details
  • Strong use of Microsoft Office 365 required​
  • Above-average Excel skills​
  • Experience pulling data then organizing the data in reports and graphs to evaluate recommendations for changes​
  • Investigative expertise and experience resolving employee complaints balancing business and employee needs; working with internal and outside counsel as needed 
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

ADMINISTER HUMAN RESOURCES COMPLIANCE BY: 

  • Ensuring effective and efficient follow through, follow up and tracking of various HR administrative responsibilities, such as; maintaining employee files, assisting with filing regulatory documents, documenting investigations, processing time records, processing payroll accurately and on time, responding to audit needs and maintaining the employee handbook
  • Staying current on state and federal regulatory changes that impact the organization; providing updates and reports monthly and quarterly

OVERSEE VENDOR RELATIONS BY: 

  • Leading the relationship with the company’s PEO vendor to ensure compliance and service standards are met; hosting monthly partnership meetings that include agendas, follow up and follow through of action items​
  • Leading relationships with external partners that support recruiting, applicant tracking, testing and/or diversity outreach.  Ensure any agreement terms are finalized through internal processes with Finance and Legal.
