Manager II, Advanced Analytics & Strategy - Marketplace Payments

What you'll do...
This role will be a key member of Marketplace Partner Payments services team responsible for providing strategic and analytical support to various business functions linking together the product, operations, and data science teams.
What you'll do...
- Develop, implement, and handle strategies that involve elements of payment fraud and risk mitigation, underwriting, collections and pricing for cash advance program, and enhancing payment experience around various other products and services for Marketplace sellers.
- Serve as an internal consultant for key business leaders in vetting strategic ideas by providing analytical, problem solving and strategic frameworks.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices, assessing and independently leverages market research and analysis, communicating their potential impact on the business OKRs to stakeholders with strong recommendations.
- Identify key-metrics and develop data-driven risk strategies & analytical frameworks, build, and maintain business rules to support our OKR around payments business and operations.
- Provide strategic and analytics support to our partner operations and product teams for automation, optimization and develop solutions to improve internal payment workflows and tooling.
- Design A/B tests to help understand risk return tradeoffs using hypothesis testing frameworks.
- Collaborate cross functionally with multiple stakeholders including Trust & Safety, product, engineering, data science, finance, legal and other partner performance teams supporting payments infrastructure and roadmap.
Preferred Qualifications...
- Master's degree with 3+ years or bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Math/Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc. with 5+ years of experience preferably in payments strategy, risk analytics or related field.
- Advanced understanding of SQL and working with large datasets, high proficiency with Excel based data analysis
- Risk/payments experience, Marketplace, or e-commerce payments or Payment consulting experience a plus
- Ability to collect, sanitize, analyze, and synthesize data; apply critical thinking & communications skills to make actionable recommendations; and drive those recommendations through to execution.
- Strong understanding of strategic frameworks, problem-solving and analytical skills, including advanced modeling; comfortable working with ambiguity
- Ability to work with cross functional teams and prior experience working with Product and Technology teams preferred.
- Clear, confident communicator who loves taking a complicated problem, decomposing it, and building a compelling business case.

The annual salary range for this position is $120,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
- Stock equity incentives
