Manager II, Finance - Technology Accountant

Position Summary...
What you'll do...
About the Position:

• The position will provide accounting support for Walmart's Technology Organization including assessment of technology purchase contracts (software, hardware, professional services) to determine accounting treatment, consultation with business partners for new business initiatives, monthly close responsibilities, and review of account reconciliations.

You'll sweep us off our feet if...

• You have demonstrated technical accounting experience (opex vs capex).
• You are experienced in Month-end close.
• You have knowledge of how high-level accounting impacts business decisions.
• You have demonstrated proficiency working cross-functionally.
• You have demonstrated excellent ability to interface with and influence executives.
• You're stimulated by challenges and are ready to operate in Matrix organization with large volume/values of data.
• You are familiar with accounting software including SAP, Blackline, etc.

You'll make an impact by:

• Providing accounting consultation to Technology Finance Partners and other business partners (procurement) on all accounting matters in according to global accounting policies.
• Being responsible for accounting decisions related to month-end and quarter-end financial reviews.
• Providing accounting support to the processes that impacts segment financial statement flows.
• Supporting Financial Reporting with Quarter and Year-End external reporting requirements.
• Performing timely account reconciliation reviews ensuring appropriate actions are taken in accordance with the Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation policy.
• Driving transformation and simplification in alignment with the Global Controllership Pillars.
