Manager, Incident Response & Threat Hunting (Remote)
Job Description
We're currently looking for a Manager, Incident Response & Threat Hunting to join our team in Franklin, TN (Remote).
The Information Security Manager role requires technical competence and experience managing diverse teams and plays a pivotal role in protecting the company's information assets. Additionally, the role requires familiarity with recent threats and adversarial techniques, as well as the ability to quickly understand complex environments. Business and interpersonal skills are essential to communicate risk to the business, interface with other business units and develop the team. The Information Security Manager contributes to the company's IT security strategy and roadmap.
The mission of this role includes, but is not limited to, intrusions analysis, incident handling, digital forensics, developing incident reports, mentoring and training team members, technical security research and dealing with external industry and technology partners to collaborate on intelligence.
Job functions Include but are not limited to:
- MONITORING - Develop, implement, and manage a strategic, comprehensive corporate information security monitoring and operation program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information owned, controlled or processed by the organization.
- MENTORING - Provide leadership and oversight over the Threat Intelligence and Security Engineering staff. Mentor and train analysts in intrusions, intelligence and the Nissan Incident Response Processes and Procedures.
- MEASURE - Measure staff and department performance through annual performance appraisals and provide training/development for continuous improvement.
- INCIDENT RESPONSE - Lead detailed forensic analysis of assets. Reconstruct events of a compromise by creating a timeline via correlation of forensic artifacts. Ensure that all forensic investigations are recorded and tracked to meet audit and legal requirements.
- MALWARE ANALYSIS AND REVERSE ENGINEERING - Lead static and dynamic analysis of malware using a variety of proprietary and open source applications and tools to determine malware functionality. Generation of indicators of compromise for use in detecting anomalous activities.
- THREAT HUNTING - Direct a team of analysts in developing and maintaining a comprehensive insider threat program. Report overall process of the insider threat program to key constituents and stakeholders. Develop metrics and scorecards to measure risk to the organization, as well as effectiveness and efficiency with the program.
- REPORTING & COMMUNICATION - Develop reports and communicate Information Security team results with executives, representatives of business units, technology specialists, and vendors.
- THOUGHT LEADERSHIP - Driven to make the organization the 'best in class' through constant research, learning, and innovation. Thinks and acts strategically instead of tactically within their department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in a relevant field
- Knowledge of Digital Forensics, Investigative methodology, Threat Hunting, Security Information and Event Management Systems (SIEM), Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering
- SANS certifications preferred
- EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) certification preferred
- 10 years or more of relevant work experience
