This role is responsible for building and leading a strategic insights capability focused on indirect customers, distributors, and application ecosystems within a global industrial business. You will define ideal customer profiles, map application-level use cases, and translate complex market and channel data into actionable insights that drive marketing, sales, and product decisions. Acting as a key enabler of demand generation and conversion strategies, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure insights directly shape campaigns, messaging, and go-to-market execution. The position sits at the intersection of analytics, marketing strategy, and business intelligence in a highly matrixed global environment. You will play a critical role in scaling customer understanding across regions while embedding advanced analytics and AI-driven tools into insight generation. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strong analytical depth, strategic thinking, and cross-functional influence.

Accountabilities

You will establish and lead the Indirect Customer & Application Insights Hub, building a scalable capability that delivers actionable intelligence for marketing and sales teams across global business units.

  • Define and continuously refine ideal customer profiles (ICPs), personas, and application/use-case mappings for indirect and channel-driven markets
  • Translate customer, distributor, and market data into actionable insights that inform campaigns, segmentation, and go-to-market strategies
  • Partner with demand generation, product marketing, sales, and marketing operations teams to align insights with execution and business priorities
  • Develop scalable frameworks and processes for collecting, structuring, and sharing customer intelligence across regions and business units
  • Support campaign planning, prioritization, and performance measurement by embedding customer insight-driven recommendations
  • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership, influencing messaging frameworks, segmentation models, and commercial strategies
  • Requirements

    The ideal candidate brings strong experience in B2B marketing, analytics, or business intelligence with a deep understanding of customer insights and channel ecosystems.

    • 10+ years of experience in marketing, analytics, strategy, or business intelligence in B2B, industrial, or technology environments
    • Strong expertise in customer segmentation, ICP development, persona design, and funnel or journey analytics
    • Proven ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations and actionable marketing strategies
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, product marketing, and commercial operations
    • Strong understanding of indirect sales models, distributor networks, and channel-driven ecosystems
    • Familiarity with AI/ML tools, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools such as Salesforce, Eloqua, Tableau, or Power BI
    • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a global matrix organization
    • Strong project management skills with experience handling multiple workstreams and strategic initiatives
