GENERAL PURPOSE

The Manager of Inside Sales is responsible for managing a team of motivated individuals whose main purpose is to Identify and provide dedicated support for all potential sales opportunities including the outside sales team consisting of Sales Vice Presidents, Regional Sales Vice Presidents and Directors, and Territory, Brand and Solution and Consultant Sales Managers. This position will be responsible for setting clear expectations for the Inside Sales, Account Managers and Account Representative teams, giving direction as to the goals and objectives of the group as laid out by the Director of Inside Sales. All aspects of this position should be treated with urgency and confidentiality. This position requires a person with a strong professional demeanor who understands and is driven by the company's goals and objectives

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Delegate workflow to the Inside Sales and Inside Account team to ensure that the incoming sales opportunities are addressed in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Oversee attendance and scheduling of team.
  • Act as mentor to the Inside Sales and Inside Account Management team providing support and assistance when required.
  • Write and administer performance evaluations for the Inside Sales and Account Management team.
  • Assist the team with the work flow and help close significant opportunities when needed.
  • Develop awareness and educate the team on all aspects of the markets, competitors, and channels Legrand AV services.
  • Consistent communication with Sales Vice Presidents, Regional Sales Vice Presidents and Directors, and Territory, Brand and Solution and Consultant Sales Managers concerning the Inside Sales and Inside Account Management Groups Performance and Expectations.
  • Manage and distribute all incoming Sales Leads to the field.
  • Perform any other duties required by Management to ensure realization of Departmental and Corporate goals.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices and performs in a safe and effective manner so as not to inflict injury to self or others.
  • Responsible for department budget preparation, analysis and administration; monitor expenditures; approve invoices and purchases
  • Initiate and assist with the creation, development, and implementation of processes and procedures
  • Effectively manage, develop, and motivate direct and indirect reports
  • Responsible for all aspects of performance management including interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and recognition
  • Provide effective, constructive and appropriate feedback and leadership to direct reports to foster positive, team atmosphere; ensure personal and professional development of direct reports
  • Initiate and assist with the creation, development, and implementation of processes and procedures
  • Consistently support compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and the Company's policies and procedures
  • Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have advanced understanding of Legrand AV Products, Competitors, and all Market Channels that Legrand AV serves

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or other degree and five (5) years' Sales experience with two (2) years' supervisory/management experience); or combination of relevant education and experience.


Special Job Requirements:
  • Must be available for extended, varied work hours based on business need


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with SAP


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for the majority of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a keyboard.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
  • General office environment
  • Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 25% travel
