Why this role
Evolve is looking for a Manager, Instructional Design to join our rapidly growing team and lead the creation of engaging learning experiences that support the development and growth of Evolvers. The Manager, Instructional Design will lead and mentor a team of Instructional Designers responsible for the full life cycle of preparation, design, development and, designing, building, and implementing integrated learning solutions that drive impact. You will ensure a consistent learning and design strategy and identify continuous learning opportunities for our teammates and professional growth for our Instructional Designers.
What you’ll do
- Manage the instructional design in the execution of the learning strategy for company wide and role specific learning
- Lead, develop and scale a team of Instructional Designers at multiple levels
- Translate business needs into impactful learning experiences across a broad range of synchronous, asynchronous, and blended delivery methods
- Manage process and projects through both big-picture and tactical details
- Develop capacity mapping to ensure accurate resourcing and on time delivery for all projects
- Craft success metrics with designers for each initiative, measure out on progress along the way, and share-out on results and insights at the conclusion
- Promote collaboration and engagement with Evolve stakeholders, SMEs and IDs
- Implement and use feedback mechanisms with stakeholders, SMEs, teammates, and other IDs to make targeted improvement to training programs and content.
- Operate and manage AGILE project management to help manage work streams following the SAM design model.
- Be a design subject matter expert and ensure that standardization components are being implemented and adult learning theory is incorporated in all deliverables.
- Identify gaps and opportunities to scale learning solutions
What makes you a great fit
- 5+ years of relevant content development or instructional design experience required; learning and training experience in hospitality, travel, or highly seasonal roles strongly preferredÂ
- 3+ years experience coaching and leading learning content professionals
- Experience in capacity mapping to ensure appropriate resourcing for a production team
- Proven success in your ability to design, develop, and deliver training content for adult learners in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment.
- Understand models of design (ADDIE, SAM), virtual facilitation tools (Zoom), content management systems, and learning management systems.Â
- Proven experience with authoring tools such as Rise360, Articulate, Adobe Captivate or equivalent strongly preferred
- Embody a player-coach mindset to develop content and manage content development across teammates
- Experience working with business, IT and HR stakeholders to serve adult learners and deliver on the organization’s learning priorities
- Ability to understand and communicate the "why" of what led to an initiative's success or failure, to create a culture of learning.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills

Evolve has a flexible working environment so teammates can work remotely anywhere in the state of Colorado, in our beautiful downtown Denver office, remotely or a hybrid of both! As we grow, we are working towards opening remote opportunities across the entire U.S. We currently are able to hire across the U.S except in the following locations: California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania.Â
Compensation
For this role our salary range is $109,000 to $125,000, depending on relevant experience
