The IT Manager should provide the organization with strong technical background and leadership qualities. This role must provide excellent customer service skills and supervise a team to support multiple users both onsite and remote. This position will lead Level 1 and 2 support teams. The IT Manager is responsible for leading the teams that provide day to day support for our associates and C-Suite executives.
Job Description
The IT Manager is responsible for leading the teams that provide day to day support for our associates and C-Suite executives. This leader ensures the overall service delivery is exceptional as measured by objective KPIs and dashboards. This leader maintains a strong relationship with IT operations, service management teams and business leaders.
The Manager is responsible for driving adoption of technologies to increase workforce digital dexterity and productivity. This leader supports workplace enablement processes and a cross-functional team focused on ensuring that employees have the motivation, permission and knowledge to fully exploit IT-supplied technology. This team will work closely with shared services partners such as corporate communications, facilities and line of business leaders, as well as other IT colleagues and technology vendors. The IT Manager will also be responsible for:
- Analyzing existing computer systems and making recommendations for upgrades and improvements
- Procurement and installation of end user systems, which include client software and hardware.
- Maintain and support Collaboration technology in campus conference rooms
- Understands strategic objectives of the business and support the implementation of technology solutions that provide value and help enable end user compute
- Performing tests and troubleshooting, as well as quality assurance.
- Ensuring all installations, maintenance, and upgrades are carried out on schedule and to client specifications.
- Help and participate with operating and capital expenditure budget to ensure it is consistent with overall IT and company objectives.
- Monitor and supports security processes for enterprise information system.
- Provide day to day people management which includes administrative (time and expense approvals), alignment of resources to demands of projects, recruiting, and training.
- Interact with clients to understand business needs, build relationships, and manage client satisfaction, including "white glove" treatment of our C-Suite executives.
- Manage functional area's project deliverables across the platform to ensure they are meeting the needs of the project managers and that the projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Online, OneDrive file sync, and Microsoft Teams
- Experience navigating thru various challenges (resources, technology, lack of application expertise)
- Develop a talent strategy to plan for future changes and needs.
- Help and participate with operating and capital expenditure budget to ensure it is consistent with overall IT and company objectives.
- Managerial responsibilities include hiring, coaching, career planning, succession planning, and developing direct reports.
- Provides leadership and technical oversight of vendors, such as escalating open tickets and requests with vendors.
- Become a Monthly On-Call Incident Manager
- Manage Site Recycling program
- Support multiple sites, both Level 1 and 2 along with our standard 'on and off' boarding of associates
- All other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years managing enterprise IT services, products, or projects.
- 5+ years managing or supervising associates / teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent customer service
- Practical experience installing and maintaining systems is recommended.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience creating technology roadmaps and considering business requirements
- Experience driving technology adoption and reporting on workplace technology adoption
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise IT services, workplace technologies, and processes.
- Proven experience defining, measuring, and managing service level agreements and KPIs
- Experience with implementing and managing ITIL processes -- knowledge, incident, change, service request and major incident management
