We are seeking a Privacy Manager who will be responsible for maintenance and controls of the privacy program, supporting data protection activities, and the implementation of privacy measures across Brookfield Properties operating companies and regions. The Privacy Manager supports the day-to-day functions related to data privacy and protection as well as special projects and privacy assessments. The Privacy Manager leads and organizes initiatives across all Brookfield Properties and assists legal counsel in collaboration with global Brookfield Properties' teams to ensure compliance with federal and state privacy regulations as well as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other global data protection regulations.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Conduct Serve as a subject matter expert on data privacy and liaison with the legal team in support of privacy initiatives and compliance
• Own and maintain the privacy modules within the OneTrust platform in support of owning the global data subject request process including modules for DSR, Data Mapping, Cookie Consent, Data Discovery, and Policy & Notice Management
• Responsible for Brookfield Properties' website cookie updates, troubleshooting, and any cookie tracking changes based on privacy guidelines
• Oversees the consumer request process and responses (US and Non-US). Tracks request exceptions and re-assesses with legal counsel as appropriate. Responsible for request metrics and reporting
• Understands and manages how Brookfield Properties collects, stores and transfers the personal data it collects. Oversees data mapping, updates and inventory linking within the privacy solution (OneTrust)
• Owner of the Brookfield Properties privacy email and phone number. Responsible for interfaces with data subjects and authorized agents to respond to requests, questions, and complaints
• Oversees application integrations and testing for targeted data discovery in our Privacy Solution (OneTrust)
• Responsible for making Privacy Policy updates and tracking policy use on Brookfield Properties websites using the Enterprise Policy module within OneTrust
• Ensures CIS 20 gap analysis is completed at least annually

Your Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
• BA/BS strongly preferred or equivalent work experience combined with related technical certifications and training
• Relevant certifications strongly preferred: CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, etc.
• Ability to execute strategic initiatives and work in a cross-functional risk and compliance team to support business objectives
• Strong business acumen; understands the key financial drivers and dynamics related to Brookfield Properties' businesses
• Keen focus on successful privacy management
• Works well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with privacy related laws (e.g. CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, PIPEDA, LGPD, Bahamas DPA, India National Legislation, BCR, CIS20)
• Experiencing working in a privacy program and driving operation efficiency through automation.
• Ability to navigate complex corporate structures and areas concerning legal and regulatory mandates, risk, and compliance
• Exposure to privacy regulations and requirements for compliance, including experience implementing a data privacy program
• Ability to work both independently with sole responsibility and as part of a team to deliver quality work product in a timely fashion in a fast-paced environment
• Practical approach to driving change through credibility and consistent communication. Must be able to drive change through influence instead of direct authority

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Type: Exempt/Non-exempt

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly

Annual Base Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000
