Manager, IT Infrastructure - System Engineering

Full-time, based in the Atlanta, GA

In this role, you will represent the Enterprise ICT Organization and be responsible for managing a team of infrastructure engineers. The BCD Travel Systems Engineering team is responsible for implementing and maintaining server, storage, and cloud infrastructure. This position requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures relative to server operating systems, backup and recovery tools, cloud technologies, storage hardware, server hardware, and virtualization tools.

• Manage a global team of IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance
• Analyze department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions
• Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedure; maintain related documentation
• Define strategy and roadmaps inside the team
• Manage department budget and ensure cost-effectiveness
• Establish and/or maintain vendor relationships
• Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
• Participate in problem management/troubleshooting/root cause analysis

How you can set yourself apart

• Extensive experience in a team leadership or management role
• Proficiency with server operating systems, server hardware, storage hardware, cloud, backup and recovery software and virtualization software
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Takes direction and works well with others
• Ability to work both in a team environment and independently, meeting deadlines
• Strong work ethic, punctuality
• Experience with cloud technologies and solutions (AWS and Azure) and/or scripting/CLI is an asset
