Job Description

The Manager IT Product leads a team of IT professionals dedicated to the operation, planning, development, administration, security, support, maintenance, and/or deployment of assigned areas of technology discipline(s).

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent international degree Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical Engineering, IT related field of study, or equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)

Required Experience:

  • 5/+ years' IT development delivery experience, to include 3 years in project management and/or leadership, leading teams that build solutions requiring deployment of code across environments
  • Federal and State regulations affecting health insurance policies, procedures, and contracting
  • Internal business processes and procedures
  • Facets
  • Business system processes

Skills:

  • Diverse experience in utilizing a variety of tools and technologies to build and manage business solutions.

Leadership Accountabilities (Day to Day):

  • Establish department objectives that support company goals and produce regular status reports.
  • Manage all communications with business units and monitor all activities and perform Troubleshoot, analyze results, and recommend modifications and changes to inventory management to meet timelines of renewals.
  • Prepare an operating budget that reflects the forecasted needs of the department and control expenditures to assure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Ensure effective workflows, maximize system efficiencies, monitor quality performance measures, and confirm appropriate completion of work assignments. Make recommendations for change as appropriate.
  • Initiate personnel actions such as hiring, disciplinary, termination and/or salary recommendations.
  • Participate in training, coaching and motivation of employees including career path development. Assess individual employee performance and conduct timely performance appraisals.
  • Promote teamwork, discussion, and cooperation among staff and other departments. Ensure timely communication and sharing of information with team members.
  • Work with staff to resolve work-related issues and concerns. Promote a respectful and diverse workplace.
  • Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures.

Secondary accountabilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance of log and documentation of all Facets change control activities.
  • Assist in production support activities by performing investigation into complex configuration problems including MTM errors. Provide configuration design to resolve problems.
  • Define the levels of access to Facets data in the Facets applications in cooperation with business units.
  • Oversee the Production Support and Facets Problem/Project meetings.
  • Participate in appropriate business process groups.
