Manager, IT Strategy & Program Management

As our Manager, IT Strategy & Program Management, you will be responsible for leading a team of Program Managers through coaching and development, as well as for the coordination and execution of the various portfolio roadmaps across our Enterprise Technology department.
The Ideal Candidate Will Be Able to -
- Cultivate strong relationships across the organization while working with internal and external stakeholders (eg. Partners, Vendors; technical and business-facing) to optimize our collective delivery frameworks and maximize the value of these relationships, while providing transparency and visibility across the business.
- Lead a high-performing team through strategic goal-setting, disciplined attention to performance metrics, continuous process improvement, mentorship, and driving outcomes for your constituency.
- Have a proven track record of delivering mission-critical, cross-functional technology projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
How You'll Do It
- Design & Analyze -
- Lead and manage cross-functional program portfolios to deliver technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and overall company strategy
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, resources, risks, and dependencies
- Proactively assess program deliverables and the most appropriate methodology (agile, waterfall, etc.) for delivering and iterating on MVPs
- Coordinate plans for assessing technology needs; including testing, usage, procurement, etc.
- Coordinate and uplevel Pie's Partner API process in concert with internal technical teams
- Leverage system and process data to drive continuous improvement
- Lead exercises to design and maintain the Enterprise Technology roadmap to highlight the value realized for the organization
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to iterate and deliver outcomes
- Define the scope, objectives, metrics, and plan for business process improvements and specific projects using agile principles and best practices
- Surface and resolve barriers and impediments impacting the team's focus, autonomy, empowerment, engagement and overall continuous improvement and maturity
- Be able to comfortably work and communicate with technical and business-facing teams
- Manage stakeholder expectations, negotiate project constraints, and resolve project-related conflicts
- Effectively communicate relevant Portfolio/Project information to business process owners and resolve issues in a timely fashion
- Be a role model in cultivating and enhancing strong partnerships across the organization and between teams
- Manage relationships and coordination with Pie's API partners including opportunity pipeline analytics and continuous improvement opportunities
- Lead and guide a team of Program Managers with excellence -
- Provide rigorous performance coaching, individual development plans, and day-to-day support
- Guide the team in experimenting with program management best practices to enhance performance and effectiveness
- Facilitate daily operations through agile practices as appropriate; i.e. stand-ups, planning, retrospectives, etc.
The Right Stuff
- High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other technology field or equivalent number of years of experience
- Preferred certifications - SHRM, HRCI or CPA
- 7+ years of experience leading, coaching and developing Program Management teams (must include blended technical and traditional program management)
- 4+ years of Corporate IT/Business Systems related program experience
- Experience with program management and planning within the Agile framework (Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, etc.) and tooling (Jira, Trello, Asana) as a product manager or scrum master
- Experience with CRM technology (SFDC, etc.), Middleware, ERP, and HRIS programs preferred
- Understanding of Software Development Methodologies
- Proven capacity for identifying risks and managing trade-offs in a highly complex environment
- Ability to adapt and handle multiple competing priorities in an agile environment
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships with working partners and communicate effectively to all levels in the organization
- Willingness to travel ~15% of the time
Base Compensation Range for position: $130,000 - $180,000

Location Information
Unless otherwise specified, this role has the option to be hybrid or remote. Hybrid work locations provide team members with the flexibility of working partially from our Denver or DC office and from home. Remote team members must live and work in the United States* (*territories excluded), and have access to reliable, high-speed internet.
