Manager, Knowledge Management and Utilization
Job Description
Making Cents is looking for a Manager, Knowledge Management and Utilization to support clients and Making Cents teams to capture, understand, and apply learning and resources for continuous improvement.
The Manager will work as part of a collaborative team supporting Making Cents’ knowledge-focused projects.Â
Responsibilities:Â
- Advise on knowledge management, change management, and process improvement methodologies to support organizational learning and improvementÂ
- Support planning, design, and facilitation of workshops and learning eventsÂ
- Identify potential system interventions and process improvements, and work with teams and organizations to prioritize and implement those changesÂ
- Elicit user or partner input, analyze feedback, and make practical recommendations to continue improving organizational effectiveness and/or efficiencyÂ
- Organize evidence and information to support understanding and decision-makingÂ
- Curate content to facilitate access, understanding, utilization, and user feedback
- Support coordination on knowledge management and communication among internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate and coordination with other divisions to achieve company objectives.Â
- Other duties as assigned.Â
Required Qualifications:Â
- Bachelor’s degree plus six (6) years of experience OR Master’s degree plus two (2) years of experienceÂ
- Demonstrated experience with knowledge management, utilization of evidence and resources, change management, process improvement, strategic communications, and data-driven decision makingÂ
- Understanding of knowledge management and/or change management methodologies, and demonstrated ability to translate those methodologies into implementation, measurement, and continuous improvement around knowledge utilization related to GBVÂ
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis to make recommendations to advance project outcomesÂ
- Strong program management, project management, and analytical skills, including working with large and/or international organizationsÂ
- Exemplary English written, spoken, and visual communication skills, including client deliverables, that require little or no editing and revisionsÂ
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and Google applicationsÂ
- Excellent time management skillsÂ
- Ability to work in the US without employer sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:Â
- Interested in international development and/or gender issuesÂ
- Experience with supporting, designing, and/or facilitating events and workshops, or comfort and willingness to grow into this kind of workÂ
- Experienced in supporting USAID, foundation, and/or other donor-focused projectsÂ
- Flexible, and able to handle multiple concurrent tasks and meet deadlines in line with priorities and various internal and external stakeholdersÂ
- Written/oral fluency in another widely-spoken language, such as Spanish or French
Physical Requirements:Â
- Travel, including international travel (up to 10%)
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Working Conditions:Â
This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement where the employee regularly conducts their work from both Making Cents’ Washington, DC office and from a telework location. For this position, the employee will be expected to work from the company’s Washington, DC office on a regular basis, about once a month or three times a quarter. Making Cents does not support telework from the following jurisdictions: California, Florida.Â
All Making Cents International staff working in the United States are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. As a condition of employment, selected candidates are required to provide proof of full vaccination unless they qualify for a legally recognized medical or religious accommodation. Individuals are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their final dose of the requisite vaccination. Compensation and Benefits:Â
The full-time equivalent annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $66,000-80,000. Actual offers will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the applicant’s relevant years of experience, education, certifications appropriate to the position, internal equity, budget; and business or organizational needs.Â
