Manager, Learning and Internal Staff Development

Tyler Technologies Inc is currently seeking a driven, results oriented and motivated self-starter with experience in K12 transportation to join Tyler's School Transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, developing, and training staff that are responsible for Tyler's K12 transportation software products in school districts and school bus contractors in the US and Canada.
The Learning and Internal Staff Development Manager is responsible for designing, delivering, and updating training for onboarding new staff within Tyler's School Transportation team. They will also coach and manage their assigned Implementation team to ensure effective scheduling and service delivery to our clients on Tyler's software products. They must be able to facilitate achievement of implementation services goals and continue successfully onboarding new staff. This individual must be professional and knowledgeable on Tyler's implementation methodology, K12 transportation industry and Tyler's School Transportation products.
Responsibilities
- Day to day supervision of an implementation consultant team to ensure they are delivering high quality training and effectively managing their workload.
- Supervise the team to meet monthly and yearly performance goals
- Develop career plans for each team member
- Conduct annual performance reviews of staff and recommend merit adjustments
- Develops training materials, including outline, facilitator guide, participant guide, job aids, training exercises, initial and re-certification assessment tests.
- Facilitates using a variety of methods in both instructor-led (ILT) and virtual instructor-led (vILT) environments.
- Evaluates and documents employee performance during training to ensure accuracy and understanding, tracking completion of all training/testing.
- Keep domain knowledge current and stay up to date on new software functionality through attending product knowledge transfers, demos, and support calls.
- Work with each department manager to determine level of product knowledge necessary based positions and customize training as appropriate for both onboarding and continued education of staff.
- Updates and maintains existing training materials to ensure product updates are included and that practices reflect those currently used in the field.
- Works with internal management staff to identify areas where additional training could improve performance.
- Organize cross-functional training on both software/hardware such as:
- Imp should receive sales demo and listen/take support calls
- Sales should attend live training
- Development should attend live training and sit on support calls
- Support should receive sales demo and attend live training
- Demonstrate an advanced knowledge, understanding of Tyler's K12 transportation software solutions and ability to educate staff
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze and understand K12 Transportation business processes and apply these to training curriculum
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to create written professional documentation
- Demonstrate advanced partnering and communication skills
- Demonstrate excellent leadership skills and ability to build relationships
- Maintain composure under pressure and accurately assess and resolve problem situations
- Work effectively in a fast paced, team based, client service-oriented environment

- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or comparable work experience.
- A minimum of two-three years' experience as an Implementation Consultant or equivalent industry experience
- Initiative, interpersonal, collaboration and relationship building and customer service experience involving developing professional, trusting, and in-depth relationships with internal and external clients (including Software Development/IT teams, Project Managers, management, clients, etc.)
- Excellent organizational skills with a proven track record of prioritizing and executing on multiple priorities successfully
- Research, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including conveying, documenting, preparing, presenting, and educating new ideas to various audiences (including management)
- Proven track record of successfully mentoring less experienced team members
- Ability to identify and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Ability to travel 25-30%
- Valid driver's license
