The Manager, Market Development is responsible for leading a team of Market Development Representatives (MDRs), who are generating and qualifying new business opportunities for our Enterprise Sales team. This individual will partner with leadership across Sales and Marketing to fine-tune and develop strategies for the team to not only hit their quarterly goals, but exceed them. 

What you'll do (Responsibilities):

  • Partner with Sr. Director to establish and oversee the development of prospecting plans, including outbound calls, email, and mail campaigns to effectively make direct contact with prospects
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new Market Development Team members in collaboration with Sales Enablement & Training.
  • Lead assigned MDR team to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities
  • Manage, coach and mentor Market Development Representatives
  • Ensure training and direction for new and existing MDR’s; set team goals and hold team members accountable for goals
  • Report regularly on sales activities and forecast to leadership
  • Collaborate with the Content, and Product Marketing Team to develop effective messaging for outbound communications to your team’s assigned accounts
  • Conduct business with integrity consistent with Conductor’s values, policies and procedures 

Who you are (Required Skills/Abilities):

  • 4-year college degree preferred or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum 2 years of prior sales experience; Preferably 1 year of managing a team or minimally in a team lead in  SaaS based start-up company
  • Experience with researching new markets, developing relationships with companies or prospective clients, and presenting market development pitches
  • Strong communicator who can work and communicate effortlessly in a cross-functional/matrix environment
  • Be a self-starter that drives a high-growth and an entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize sales data to optimize sales funnel
  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills
  • Confident and compelling presentation style.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment; team player
  • Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office)
  • Expert proficiency in the use of Salesforce
  • Sales training experience a plus

Compensation: Conductor maintains competitive, performance-based compensation programs. 

The base salary range for this role is currently $66,500 - $110,800.  

Actual base salary offered may vary within this range based on  education, knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience, internal equity, and geographic location, among other factors. The actual compensation, if offered a position, will be based on these factors.

Variable compensation: In addition to the base salary, this role is also eligible for a variable bonus based on attainment of quota and performance targets.
